Multiple Contracts - Different UY

Not necessarily, you're still saving money even though it is not a loaded contract, you'll get exactly the same points as if buying retail if all 15 & 16 points are there. It's still almost $2K less (roughly $1900) than retail assuming you don't miss the banking deadline. The good news is if it falls through you can still go retail and bank up until the day before your UY starts and since there was a price increase recently I believe, that should be fairly safe as well for a while.

The 2015 points have already been banked. Is a difference between retail and resale contract (example, my Aug UY) on a retail contract you can bank up to 7/31 where on a resale contract it would be 3/31 ? What additional costs are there buying direct ? Are there additional cost buying resale that you do not have buying direct?

Just curious heynowirv, I agree with your logic about the value of SSR v. VB, however, is the reason your bought your add on direct and not resale was you only wanted 25 points and no more? The add on I just purchased was only 50 points. The seller listed at $95, I offered $92 and was accepted. I wasn't crazy that I am paying $92 for SSR but to get my same UY/loaded had an additional value to me.
Basically yes. This will push us just over 300 points with 190 OKW and now111 SSR.Besides the MF being 2.65 less PP buying direct closing fees are only 103.vs 425. resale. And 25 points is what we could afford.

You also get banking up to the last day of the UY and might get some added one time benefits here and there as well. The general wisdom has been for very small contracts to go retail for most situations, VB & HH might be exceptions as well as Aulani if one can get a subsidized package.
Dean what are those one time benefits you mentioned?

They allow you to go even beyond the last day of your UY. We have an August UY and bought in august 2012 I think it was the 5th. We got 2011 points and they had to bank them on the spot as they had technically expired but it was all done by the time we signed the contract.

The main differences are the fact that dues are prorated for retail and the closing is less (used to be zero). Plus the banking can occur up until the last day of the UY.

besides those I listed above there are sometimes options that are variable. There are reports of new buyers getting a difficult to secure reservation that was sold out otherwise. I've seen a couple of reports of members adding on retail and getting to bank other points that were restricted. I've also seen reports of people buying resale also getting to bank when past the deadline. Plus you get instant access and avoid the hassle of resale while not usually dramatic, time and aggravation is money as they say.

I remember free closing ,our first contract was 0.I thought you were going to mention hidden perks that I knew nothing about.
