Multiple Amazon Accounts....

Does anyone know, if it's against Amazon's regulations for someone to have multiple accounts, using different e-mails but the same shipping address and payment info. I'm not a rule breaker and have been scouring through their site looking for such info....with no luck. I know people do it....but is it a written rule somewhere?

Never thought about it, but I have two, and I've never had an issue. DH and I share one, and I have my own for when I order presents for DH that I want to be a surprise. I don't know why I bother because somehow he always figures it out.

DH and I each have our own, with the same address and credit card, just different emails. Never thought twice about it. There may be some rule about one of each Lightning Deal per household/address, but that's the only reason I can think of that two accounts could cause any issue.

Doubt it's a rule -- I ended up with 2 accounts accidentally. I asked them to combine them. I only want & need 1 account, but I dont want to lose my order history. Well, they said they are unable to combine them. I could just close one if I wanted to -- no mention that it's not allowed, or how or why I had two -- so I'm just guessing, it's allowed.

I have an account and so does my DH. Well, for the last 2 weeks, all of a sudden, they have been cancelling my orders if there was an order with the same item in my DH account. Like I ordered a razor and he also did on his account. never said there was a limit. Then his gets canceled and it says that they have limits for the same household and canceled the order. Monster high dolls also, There wasnt any note on the dolls page that there were limits. I only found when when I tried to check out it was only 2. So, My DH orders some on his account, again they canceled my order.

I've never heard of any such 'rule'. DH and I each have our own account with our own personal email address and we both have the same credit cards. We've had it that way for at least 7-8 years and never any issue.

Possibly they make some sort of limit for hard-to-get high demand items at Christmas time. I've never heard of it before. Maybe they think you are buying too many to resell them? Did you contact them and ask them what is going on>

I think as long as you're not using it to exploit sales somehow they probably don't care. After all, you're giving them money either way

I pretty much had to set up a second account when I ordered my boys kindles for their birthdays this month. I don't want them having my books on their kindle since a lot of my books wouldn't be good for kids to read. So I went ahead and set up an account just for their new kindles. It seems like such a hassle, I wish there was a way to seperate the books on one account. Amazon doesn't make it easy.

Both my wife and I have accounts. It worked to our advantage when my free prime as part of Amazon Mom ran out. We signed her up and will enjoy many more free months of amazon mom. Amazon definitely benefits, we buy more from them when we get the free shipping...

We have a similar setup; both my wife and myself have our own accounts but Amazon allows us to share our Prime. I would think the only way Amazon would care was if there was some way to use it to confuse people. Otherwise Amazon is more than happy to get your money.
