December 11: Today we finally made to Animal Kingdom. We decided to get there on our own; and then meet for lunch at the pizza place around 11:30. We ended up running into Family #3 right after we got in the park (around 10:00). We walked over to do the Safari(about a 20 min wait). Wow! This was my best Safari ever! This was the closest the animals have ever gotten to the jeep, and the most I've ever seen them move around! The only ones we couldn't see really well were the lions.

Anyway, after that we went on to Pizzafari to get some lunch and meet Family #2. This was my first time to eat here; and I thought the food was pretty good. We were using Connections vouchers, so dh and I got a pizza, salad, and a huge slice of chocolate cake each, and shared it all with ds (except for the salads!)

After lunch we headed over to ITTBAB. There was no wait! Ds liked it a little better than last year; but it's still not one of his favorites!

Next we headed over to Flights of Wonder. I love this show! Ds loved seeing the huge owl that flew down the aisle! After that was over, we decided to break out the ponchos and do Kali River Rapids. There was no wait for this either. We all got in our boat and put our shoes in the dry bin! No one got too wet luckily. After the ride we all gave our ponchos to people getting ready to ride! This was my first time on KRR, and I didn't really think that much of it. I don't think I would stand in line to do it again.

We all headed over to Dinoland. The kids played in the boneyard for a long time. We got FP for Primeval Whirl, then went and stood in line for Dinosaur (with child swapping!). Next we went back to PW. Moms and kids rode Triceratops Spin while dads rode PW. Then we reversed it! The kids were happy because they got to do TS twice!

After all of that Family #3 left AK; and the rest of us went to see the Lion King Show. What a great show! And, it wasn't at all crowded--I think because it was almost time for the parade.

After the show, we caught a bus to the Poly to meet the rest of the group for the early luau. The food and the entertainment were both very good here. The kids had a great time going up on stage to dance! This was one of those things that we were not sure if we wanted to do or not; and I'm glad we did it!

After dinner we headed over to Epcot to see Illuminations (and of course ride Norway AGAIN!) Illuminations is so beautiful! We could see it every night from BWI; but it's not the same as being there!

After that we walked back to BWI. Dads stopped at ESPN, moms put kids to bed!

Tomorrow.....Magic Kingdom
