I posted this in another thread , but let me ask it here .......

If I buy at SSR and add on say 100 pts at BWV If I get the same U/Y can I transfer my 150 points to bwv and make a ressie using all those or do I have to wait the 7 month window still? I hope this make sense ? I know I can make a ressie with my 100 points of BWV is that it then add on , maybe , with my other points from SSR . To make a short question long how does adding on small amounts help people out ?

You can only make an 11 month reservation using the points you own at that resort. In your example, at 11 months you could make a reservation at SR using 150 points at SSR, and you could also make a reservation at BWV using your 100 points at BVW. But you couldn't use 250 points at just one of the resorts. You'd have to wait until the 7 month mark, when you could add the points together and stay at any of the DVC resorts.

Add ons of small amounts help people because they then have more points to use within the year, but unless they get the same resort, they don't factor into the 11 month time frame.

By banking and borrowing, you'll have 200 points at the BWV every other year, or 300 points every 3rd year.

Another option would be to mix it up a bit...

A) Use this UY's and next UY's SSR points to book SSR at the 11 month window for a long trip this year. Use this UY's and next UY's BWV points to book BWV at the 11 month window for a long trip next year...

B) Book at the 11 month window for a few days at each resort to make sure you have a room to stay in, then at the 7 month window call back and change the reservation to one resort.

Another nice thing is that you could always book at a non Disney Resort, Interval, etc. and the home resort booking windows don't matter...

I own at multiple resorts, and usually never have a problem getting the ressies I want.
