Which DVC resorts do you own points & what one is your Favorite?

Many of us own at more than one DVC. Let face it we wouldn't keep adding on points if we weren't excited about going there on vacation.

We own at OKW, BWV, & BCV.

Personally, we like OKW the best!
We like the quiet atmosphere, and the beautiful spacious rooms. Being able to have your car parked right out front.

BWV, for the Boardwalk!! And close to Epcot.

BCV, close to Ecopt, & the Boardwalk.

Just canceled our Jan. 3rd stay at BCV, for a ressie at OKW!!
We are lucky tho, cause we like all of them, so if we don't get our favorite, the others are better than no vacation at all. Or worse, off site!!! YUCK!!!

We own at BWV and BCV. I am planning on selling BCV to buy an OKW contract. I wanted OKW when I bought the BCV contract, but no points and no Magical Beginnings were available at OKW, so I boought BCV. Mistake on my part, which I regret, so I am going to fix that mistake sometime in 2004. I would have sold it sooner, but MS said that I couldn't borrow from my 2005 contract until I used all the 2004 points I owned, which was the BCV add-on.

I love BWV and OKW the best, so that's where I want to have my points. I want to rent a grande villa someday!

We are Vero Beach and Beach Club Villa owners, so that we can have the best of off site and onsite accomodations that we like the best. I was surprised the when we tried to make reservations for Easter, Vero was the only DVC resort that was completely full. So, we're glad to have the 11 month advantage there when needed. We also love the BCV for the theme, location, room layout, beach area and interior spaces. Parking is plenty close, and the resort has all kinds of amenities so we feel like we're on a first class vacation. SAB isn't bad either.

We own at BWV-love it for the location and fun of the BW..but will only stay there with Standard View, so having that 11 month window is key.
We also love OKW, but don't feel it necessary to have points there, as it has always been easy to get ressies there within the 7 month window. The next trip we will book BWV SV at 11 months and is all goes well, change our ressies to OKW at 7 months.

We also own at HH which is a wonderful, wonderful resort. That was a spur of the moment decision, we had to skip our yearly fall trip b/c our son was a newborn, and I needed something DVC-ish to tide me over so we bought HH points, sight unseen. I thank my lucky stars all the time that we did!

We own 230 points at OKW and 200 points at BWV. We love OKW, but bought the BWV contract specifically for our New Year's Eve trips. You really can't beat walking to Epcot on NYE.

Of course, we had to "mix things up" a little bit and now we're staying in a Grand Villa at OKW over NYE with DVC friends. I can't wait! Next year we'll be back at BWV .

FWIW, I have also enjoyed staying at VB, VWL and BCV on my OKW and BWV points .

VB was out initial contract in 2000. Stayed there once and look forward to going again.

BCV was our second contract. Have not stayed there yet, but have ressies for a 8 days in May. Love the location, especially on trips when we go to the WDW parks. Love the action of the Boardwalk. Would have purchased at BWV but they weren't available at the time and wanted to be sure to have access to SAB for grandkids.

VWL was a third contract. We purchased this after staying there last December. Bought it to stay there when the Christmas decorations are up. Also like to stay there when we don't go to the WDW parks, but are going to US/IA instead and for golfing trips.

We have stayed at BWV and enjoyed it. While we don't own at OKW and SSR, I'm looking forward to staying there sometime. I didn't purchase at those places because they are larger and I felt I had a fairly good chance to get ressies at the 7 month window. I purchased at the smaller resorts that are more difficult to get in the 7 month window.

We have 300 pts at OKW and 300 at VB(same use yr-Sept).
As CaptainMidnight stated we also like have the 11 month window on WDW property(OKW) and ocean-front (VB).

P.S. Both of our "homes" have GV's/ Beach Cottages if we need them.

In our house we own at 2 resorts, each is the favorite for one of us (good thing we don't have young children-we might have to add-on somewhere else too!).
DH loves OKW best. Feels it's the best place to VACATION, relax, unwind, etc.
Also own at my fave-BCV-because I'm the Disney fanatic, love the parks.

I own at OKW, Vero, Hilton Head & Beach Club Villas. OKW is my overall favorite, and where I own the most points (& spend the most nights).

I bought the Vero points when OKW sold out & I wanted more - at the time they came with the free park passes thru 1999. Hilton Head & Beach Club points I use at those resorts. I try to make an annual trip to HH and love the grand villas there with the fireplace. BCV is my home for 2 weeks during Food & Wine - nothing beats walking into Epcot for the delicious F&W offerings.

We own 2 separate contracts at OKW, one with 200 points and one with 230 points. We do like it there, for the same reaosns others have listed, but we also like the flexibility of being able to stay in the other DVC properties too.

We also have two contracts at OKW, both with a March use year. We started with 230 points and added 150 the next year. We love the quiet, vacation home feel, wildlife, low points, and large airy rooms. We also love the quiet pool areas.

We own at OKW and BCV. Stayed at OKW first time this July 03 and loved it. We have ressies for OKW and BCV for 8/04 but I might decide to stay our entire time at OKW. If we do stay at OKW entire stay, then we will try BCV in 05 after cruising. We shall see.

We have points at VWL and VB. Our favorite on-site is VWL, although I truly like all of them. We also thoroughly enjoy our Vero time. We can not say which we like better, as these are used for different types of vacationing.

In my opinion, these two resorts have the nicest architectural design, but again, that is just my opinion.

We own at BWV and BCV. We love BWV the best, although BCV is a very close 2nd.

Looking forward to staying at OKW in January. We had dinner at Olivia's last month and I couldn't believe how beautiful it was. Pictures do not do this resort justice. We may need an add on after staying there!

We own at OKW and HH. Love the condo feeling of OKW and just love the whole HHI area. Also like VB for 2 to 3 night stays. Would still like to buy some BCV points and want to check out SSR when it opens. Really would like to own points at all of the DVC resorts.

OKW 300 -- value (maintenance fees, size of units and point chart), setting (small condo cluster style), theming (Florida Keys)

BCV 215 -- like location (easy walk to two parks and lots of restaurants, miniature golf) -- particularly great for October and December visits), part of great resort complex (YC/BC), and SAB

Favorite -- not sure there is one favorite. If one had to be sold and one kept - BCV would go and OKW would stay.

We have points at OKW and BCV. We have stayd in a 1-bedroom at OKW two times. We have not yet stayed at BCV but we are thinking next year for the Food and Wine Festival.
