Multi-day ticket...use to hop?

If you have a multi-day ticket without the park hopper option can you use extra days to hop? If you went to AK during the day and decided to hop to another park for evening entertainment will they subtract another day from your multi-day ticket or would you not be allowed into the second park without the park hopper add on?

I'm still figuring out if I should purchase park hopper tickets or not. I would take a guess and say that if we did park hop it would be a max of twice on a six park days trip. It would only cost $20 to purchase 2 extra days on a multi-day ticket versus $59 for the park hopper option. We will be traveling with a group of 5 so the park hopper option adds up quick.

Sorry, but no. If you buy (for example) a 7 day ticket and you are only staying 4 days, you can't use the extra 3 to hop. If you buy a one-park-per-day ticket, it's just that....one park per day. To hop you have to buy the park hopper (or an annual pass).

Hope this helps!

Nope nope nope.

You can only use 1 "day" per day. That's why they are called "days" :)

Park hopping requires the Park Hopper option, or a completely separate ticket (which is far more expensive)

This, by the way, is why Disney doesn't allow it.

No, you can't -- they won't let you into the 2nd park. But you also don't have to add it in advance. If you're in a park and want to hop, because it's too crowded, want to do something else, get an ADR in another park etc, you can add the hopper option to your existing ticket on your way to the other park. They do this at Guest Services.

Right. But keep in mind there is no lower cost to only hop some of the days you are visiting the parks. It is a flat fee.
