Trip Report Day 2 6/6/7
BTW it was me-newly found disney fan Eemaan, DH Amir aka Grumpy this trip, Mummy dear along for the ride, DS Musa (4) loves Disney, DD Sumayyah (20 months) loves Stitch and Mulan
Today we had a GMF booked o we woke up at 7.00 to try to make it there early. On the way to the bus stop we walked past the entrance of the hotel and saw Mickey there!! So we went and said bonjour and got a really nice photo with him which we bought later that day for 18E for the A4 size picture.
So we caught the bus to the park and we were the second family in the ‘queue’ waiting for breakfast, so it must have been about 8.30 ish when we were waiting at bag check. They eventually let us in and it was like a stampede at first to get in! We walked to Chalet de la marionette, and were seated quickly, hubby went to get our food while me and mum settled the kids down.
I really liked the theming in here, though a little gloomy, I found quite a few of the restaurants had quite dark lighting which made me strain my eyes a little. I really liked the stained glass windows around the park and I wish I’d taken more photos of them.
So after we were full and had filled the kids bottles with apple juice my husband took Musa on Dumbo and me and mum went to the baby care centre with Sumayyah, silly me didn’t bring enough wet wipes… so we went to buy some more and change Sumayyahs nappy. I think it was 2.40 for a packet of wipes.
I called hubby and asked him to get fast passes for Peter Pan nd then we then all met up, we started queuing to meet Minnie in Town Square, but we were quite far back in the queue when the Character express came out so we abandoned the queue and went to take pictures of the parade instead, we followed it up Main street and then followed the characters off, we didn’t see which direction Stitch ran off in unfortunately, my kids LOVE Stitch so we thought we might be able to see him the next time the parade came out. So we found Goofy and Pluto and got a few nice pics with them and the ‘scrum’ wasn’t as bad as I had expected.
We also saw Louie, my husband was waiting patiently with Musa and people kept trying to push in front then Louie put his arm out to stop one pushy parent and beckoned Musa to come to him and then they had a nice hug but I didn’t manage to get a pic of this…
So we went back into Fantasy land and went on the Teacups. We’d bought a set of lilo and stitch figures and Musa insisted on bringing Sparky (though slightly green looking rather than yellow like in Stitch the movie) in to the park even though we warned him we’d lose him, but silly us let him bring it anyway and of course he got left on a teacup and we gave up hope of getting him back when Musa remembered. So if you find him please send him home as Musa really misses him lol.
We got Musas face painted E12!!!
it was amazing quality face painting, i thought the lady done a wonderful job, but I wouldn't really do it again because Musa only kept it on for about half an hour before he decided he didnt like it anymore and paranoid hubby didn't like the glitter near his eyes, so Musa started rubbing his face on his t-shirt (it doesn't come out very well in the wash even with vanish-you have been warned!) much to my annoyance lol so we just had to wipe it all off.
So we then went on Peter Pan which was nice but Musa found it a bit too dark, so because of that we didn’t bother going on Pinocchio or Snow White.
We decided to go to WDS which was comparably quieter, we were just in time for Animagique, it was wonderful!! Definitely one of my favourites. The kids loved it also and DD kept waving at the characters. We had a great seat right at the front, the effects were really good, I started to well up a bit cos I just thought it was so lovely…I really liked the birds on the last Lion King scene in particular.
I really wanted to film it, but of course they don't let you, even if you don't use your light/flash, so I had to settle for this pic before the show started.
So after that we hung around for the Cinema Parade, which I didn’t find as impressive as the Dream Parade, maybe because the floats are smaller. Was nice to see Chicken Little though. I had a constant problem trying to get picture of the characters faces, it seemed as soon as I was prepared to take a photo that they would turn and face the other side so most of my pics have backs of heads in! lol
We were quite tired and the heat was quite strong so we decided to head back to our room for a little break. Again we just grabbed some McDs for a small bite to share. When we went back it was time for our Character Tea at Plaza gardens. We were seated quickly and went to grab some food, I must admit I was quite disappointed by the selection, I know it was ‘tea’ but I thought there would at least be a bit of pasta which I seem to remember reading somewhere, I think also because of the heat, our appetites weren’t great, so we didn’t eat much and I felt like I’d wasted my money, we didn’t even stay long enough for the characters to change over, we left because the children weren’t eating anything and they seemed bored, although we did get a couple nice pics with Gipetto, King John, and Mr Smee. Mr Smee was lovely and gave Musa a lovely hug.
Afterwards mum took Musa on Orbitron while we got Fastpasses for Buzz. While we were waiting DD tripped over my foot and cut her ear on the stroller, it was aout 2 cm long and looked really deep, I thought she might need stitches but hubby came and said it would be ok (he's a doc)
So we went on Buzz and of course I got the highest score out of the 4 of us, I’d share the pic of us with you but I look quite mad, a face filled with concentration tee hee, my score was 28400, maybe we should do a leader board of buzz and see who’s the best!!?!? I was quite pleased considering I’d never done any shooting before.
At 7 we went to City hall for our wrist bands for EMH, we only went on Teacups during EMH as we all felt quite tired and went back to our room. We all got washed up and put the children to sleep, then me and hubby went for a late walk, which was nice, the air was still warm even at 11pm and I was surprised how many people were around still, even lots of small children. We had a game of air hockey in the games room and I lost of course, then we just looked in the shop for a little while then went back to our room to sleep….
Day 3 coming soon…!
