*~* Muggles, Welcome to the Burrow! *~*

This was an idea that I added to on a post over on Mugglenet. JKRowling has a way of tying in things later. In the last book we saw Mrs. Weasley telling Fleur about their aunt's tiara, and Harry just happens to use one in the Room of Requirement as well. It really made me wonder if those don't wind up being 'linked' together by Harry. They could be two of a kind.;)
Kim
I had forgotten that.
It 'fit' the fact that Mrs. Weasley was accepting Fleur and trying to reach out to her, but I felt like there was something else besides that. It seems too much to be a coincidence.

I don't think the missing horcrux is the wand, or the tiara, or anything else we've seen casually.

We never saw the ring or Hufflepuff cup prior to book 6. We did see the locket, but only because that particular horcrux was taken from its hiding place.

The horcruxes are supposed to be very well hidden in places that are significant only to Voldemort, and guarded heavily with powerful curses. The Diary was an exception, of course, but it had a second purpose - to open the Chamber of Secrets.

Perhaps there is something else hidden in the Chamber? That would be a significant place to Voldemort.

What other places were important to him? Not the orphanage, surely. The Riddle House, where he killed his parents? Dumbledore said that Tom Riddle had a special affinity for Hogwarts. Could the cup and the missing horcrux both be hidden at Hogwarts? That would be handy! There is supposed to be a graveyard on the grounds...somewhere near Slytherin's tomb?

I don't think the tiara is a horcrux, because the one Harry came across was out in the open and the other one is in the possession of Mrs. Weasley.
I think the tiara(s) may have some place in the last book.

:goodvibes It'll be a whirlwind for me. First the movie and book, and then a week or so after that (beginning of August) is Prophesy in Toronto, which my friend and I are going to CRAZY!

Hooray for the release date! (It took me the whole day to find out that it had been released... Crazy, huh!?!?!?) I can't wait, but I too feel the impending arrival will be bittersweet - it makes me want to laugh and cry all at the same time... I guess I'll be worst when it's the Deathly Hallows movie coming out -because that will "put the final nail in the coffin" on JK's Harry Potter world... I'll deal with that when I get to it!

The postings on the whereabouts of the other horcruxes had me thinking... Does anyone else think one could be hidden in the Forbidden Forest? Voldy seems the type to me to have explored that forest on outings while at Hogwarts and maybe even after leaving... Just a thought, as lots has already happened in there...

That's a possibility.
We know that Hagrid knows a lot about the Forbidden Forest, but not a lot of others go in there.
I don't have a book to check right now, but I wonder if anything the centaurs said in earlier books will come into play at the end?
They could know something, but because they don't involve themselves in human affairs, they would not do anything if they did know (except Firenze, who helped Harry in the first book).

While I just was thinking about it because of all the trouble that Voldy caused with Hagrid and Aragog, which we saw in CoS, right... With Aragog retreating to the Frobidden Forest, perhaps Voldy went exploring! We'll have to wait until July to find out - I guess!

Very interesting article... Thank you for sharing!

I'm already feeling like Snape will definitley die in DH, however I am very fearful that the other person will either be a Weasley or Hagrid... That's just what my gut is telling me. I for one was in shock when DD was killed and I just feel as though it's going to be someone extremely close to Harry who is offed once again.

I was just searching around online and noticed a quote from JK Rowling that "Ravenclaw will have it's day." Anyone think this could mean that a Ravenclaw (Luna, Cho, or someone else) could play a more important part in the battle between good and evil than any of us are anticipating???

I have a bad feeling that Snape might die, too; for some reason I don't want him to die. He's such a great character (even if he ends up on the evil side). To me, every scene that Snape is in is interesting to read. If he is on the good side afterall, I think his death might be the thing that redeems himself. I don't think that Harry, the Order members, or anyone else will ever trust Snape no matter what reasons he gives for his actions in HBP.

I think it's possible that Luna or someone else from Ravenclaw will play an important part in the last book. Maybe the tiara is the Ravenclaw horcrux. I'm not sure if it really is though. The tiara is something that people (e.g. Harry) could potentially gain access to if they happen to enter that room looking for a place to hide something. It seems like a careless place for Voldemort to place a piece of his soul.

The theory that Harry's scar is a horcrux is interesting to me, but I'm not sure how it's possible since a certain spell has to be cast in order to create the horcrux.

Hi All! I have been lurking for about a week and am intrigued by all your theories. I have downloaded the ebooks and will share with you. It is so much easier to have the books right on the computer for easy reference.

I'd forgotten about Molly mentioning the other tiara! Maybe they are a communication device - the wearers can send each other thoughts over long distances or something?

As for hiding a horcrux at Hogwarts, kind of risky, yes, but in a way, what better cover then to have one of your horcruxes under the expert protection of your worst enemy?

This is a nice gesture, but those are actually illegal downloads.

GREAT THOUGHT! I would never have thought of this...

True - I'm sure one or both of the other horcruxes will end up being on Hogwarts property just because, as we've mentioned before, Hogwarts was about the only place that was significant to Voldy!

Well I'm happy someone else doesn't want Snape to die either... He intrigues me - I actually want to see how far he'll go and what *side* he ends up declaring himself on... We'll just have to wait to see!

That's a really good idea, especially since JKR makes a point to mention both of the tiaras, and, like I'm sure others have said, some seemingly unimportant items that are mentioned in the stories have a tendency to actually turn out to be rather important later on in the story.

That's a good point about hiding horcruxes at Hogwarts, too. I'm just kind of skeptical about that specific location (Room of Requirement) where Harry found the tiara. There doesn't really seem to be much of anything protecting it. I think it makes more sense that the two tiaras are some kind of communication device or are at least linked to each other somehow.

I do not want Snape to die. He is by far the best character in the books, and I wish we could know more of his backstory, though I doubt we'll get *too* much of it.

Believe you me...reading Prisoner of Azkaban, I never thought I would care one little bit about Snape, but he's turned into such an interesting character
...and I want him to be good so bad. I think it might ruin the series for me if he's actually evil. How one dimensional?!?

So what could potentionally ruin the series for everyone else?

For me it would be: Snape being bad, killing off the twins, Harry killing Voldy in a really, really lame way (if in fact he kills him at all?), things I want to know left hanging...

Just read an interesting news article online that I wanted to share entitled -
Harry Potter and the Hint of Death:

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/main.jhtml?xml=/news/2007/02/03/npotter03.xml
That is v. interesting! Not taking it for gospel by any stretch of the imagination since HP junkies read into everything that woman says/does!!!! Then again, she herself admits she does things for a reason. It will be interesting to find out, though. If it bodes true, will JKR admit it and tell us that she left it a hint? She's a pretty crafty woman, so who knows! She could have done that to throw us off the track, too. One never knows!!!!

I pre-ordered my book at B&N and am looking foward to the HP doings they'll be having in the months prior to the release! In the past, our local B&N had a book club countdown. You joined the book club which started 5 months before the book 6 release. Month 1 was a book discussion about HP&SS, then month 2 was HP&CoS, etc. Each month they'd discuss the chosen book and have a jeopardy type contest. Prize for each book's contest was a "skip the line" pass to be the first 5 to get into the Book 6 release party before anyone else! Of course, DS was too young to participate and hadn't read the books, but he liked to go just to listen. They let him play and he got a few answers right (based on seeing the movies) but he had fun just being there and getting caught up in the excitement! I'm hoping they do some fun events like that this time around.

So, have you started re-reading HP from book 1 yet? If not, when will you start!?

I thought i would be ecstatic but im really sad. Its the end...

I'm gonna start reading it once I finish HBP which I had started before the announcement. I have to pace myself because I'm a pretty slow reader. I need to make sure I finish on 7/20/07!!!!
