9:20 - Taylor Swift wins Best Female Video for "You Belong With Me." It's somewhat of a surprise, since Lady Gaga and Beyonce were nominated in that category.

9:23 - Seconds into Taylor Swift's acceptance speech, Kanye West appears on stage and says he's sorry to interrupt, but Beyonce had one of the best videos of the year. Taylor Swift, obviously shaken, is taken off stage. The show cuts to a humorous filler sketch, and then commercials. After the commercials, host Russell Brand reminds the audience the show is supposed to be about love.

9:36 - Oh man. Taylor Swift has to perform live. I feel so bad for her. The teens who introduce her give her their support, then we cut to a New York subway, the scene of her performance. She sings "You Belong With Me" while wearing a striking red dress. If she's hurt by the whole Kanye ordeal, she's not showing it. She gets off the subway and continues the performance outside Radio City Music Hall, the site of the awards. Fans are going crazy. Take that, Kanye.

How rude. I honestly HATE Kanye. That's not the first time he's done something like that.

At a music fundraiser for Hurricane Katrina (that was live) he looked into the camera and said "Bush hates black people". Pete Wentz (I think) was with him.. and he just looked at him like OMGZZZ.

But anyone else watching?

I was trying to figure out if that was a joke and she knew he was going to do that. If not, I'm pretty annoyed with it. Showed no class, Taylor Swift deserved it as much as any of them.

The Lady Gaga preformance was annoying, just because her outfits drive me crazy. I feel like she just tries to get too much attention with them, and the blood was weird. I like her songs though.

I still don't understand why they picked Russell Brand for this again. I don't care for him at all.

Kanye is notorious for throwing hissy fits when he doesn't win, but THAT was.... i could NOT believe!!!
If you have my on FB or twitter you would realize my true feelings about this. (lots on not dis appropriate words! lol)

I LOVE Taylor Swift! i think she is the sweetest girl alive and she really did deserve the award, she sold more records than beyonce, flat out! The fans voted, and they picked Taylor. How low can a human get to embarrass a young girl in front of MILLIONS of people....for no apparent reason.

My heart just broke for Taylor.
But she's going to get an outpouring of support from her fans so I'm sure she won't have any issue sleeping at night just because one egomaniac hip hop artist doesn't think she deserved her very fist VMA.

(oh BTW it was Mike Meyers, not Pete Wentz @ the Katrina thing this Kanye's infamous 'George Bush does not like black people' remark)

Honestly, I always liked Kanye's music, but I've seriously lots any and all respect for him.

Taylor looked like she was going to cry! I felt soooooooooooo bad! It was all over the news and radio this morning. After it happened my facebook page and my cell phone like exploded with text messages and everyone's facebook status was like "ewwww kanye west, what the hell is wrong with him"
Then when Beyonce had Taylor come on stage I teared up a bit. So wonderful and classy. Both of them.
And why is Russell Brand hosting again? He didn't make me laugh once.
I thought all the preformances were good but it seemed like the nominees were kinda dull this year, or is that just me?
