heading to WDW in Dec. DM is avoiding MSG due to heart issues (she believes MSG triggers her rapid heartbeat). looked on waltdisneyworld.com and they didn't get into MSG specifically, more on celiac and vegan. Does anyone know of a resource that would tell which, if any of the CS foods would contain MSG? Do the CS locations mention anything about MSG? We typically get the QS dining plan, but this whole MSG issue is fairly new for her, and I don't want her to pay for the DP if she needs to avoid. Any info or personal experience with MSG avoidance would be appreciated.

write to disney special diets at:
WDW.Special.Diets@disney.com

you can write them with your questions. They respond very quickly.

I'm sensitive to MSG and I have written in before when I was especially concerned about some restaurants (Yak and Yeti, Nine Dragons, etc). I received a really nice message back which stated: "We do not add any MSG to our recipes, however some manufactured items may contain it. Due to the large volume of meals we serve, vendors and suppliers occasionally swap out product. Therefore menu items and preparation is often updated. We stress that you ask to speak to a Chef or Manager when you arrive at each location. They will be happy to assist with your selection and provide product labels and ingredients for menu items." I've never had a huge issue at Disney with MSG though, but that might just be because I can tolerate small amounts.
