MSEP FP+ worth it?

We will be there next week - is the MSEP FP+ worth it? Our main goal is to not have to sit too long before the parade. I've read reports now that say we would need to be in the FP+ area by 8:20 for a 9 pm parade which seems silly. Should we go to Frontierland instead? We have a FP+ for Wishes after.

My opinion - and it is just ours, others' mileage may vary - is that none of the parade or fireworks FP+ are worth it.

We had FP on various days for all three at MK earlier this month (FoF, MSEP, and Wishes). There would be a FP window, and we would arrive at the beginning of the window, only to find that the areas were almost completely full already. So then you are still waiting 30 or 45 minutes, and you don't even get a great spot for viewing. For MSEP, I ended up with one son awkwardly squeezing into the one spot we found on the curb, and standing five feet away with my other son, trying to see around the people standing in front of us. (On past visits, we would just go to Frontierland, and we could get great spots - especially for the second parade.)

For the parades, they pack too many people into the area - especially when people pull their giant strollers right up to the curb - so one small child takes up four feet of curb space. The Wishes area was likewise crammed, to the point that CMs came around telling anyone who was sitting to stand up (10 or 15 minutes before the fireworks show started) to take up less space, as more people needed to enter and they couldn't get in.

I had read some reviews that made these FPs sound less than appealing, but I still wanted to try them. I think I was excited by something new, and I really hoped that the reviews would be exaggerated, and the special areas would save time and make for a less crowded, better viewing experience. But they were awful, all three of them. We bailed on the FoF area before the parade even began. Made me feel pretty silly for stalking those FPs for weeks!

Definitely not worth it. Use yours FPs for rides and sit on the curb 20 min before it starts.
