MSEP and the Weather?

Hello! I am new here, but I am relatively familiar with forums, I do own and operate two of them, but that is beside the point. I am going to WDW for the first time in a few days, and one of the major reasons I am going is the parade, I know that this is the rainy season, but how is it at night? I plan on seeing it on the 5th of September as it is the only night it is showing. So what my question is, what is the probability of it getting cancelled? If it is cancelled, do they re schedule it for the next day? Thanks.

They won't reschedule it if there's something else going on the following night (Ie, MNSSHP) but they usually do two parades and if the earlier one is cancelled, they'll do their best to put on the later one. Sometimes they'll do the later one behind schedule just to put it on.

Thanks for the quick reply, I am glad to know they can still put on a latter one, I hope it does not rain to begin with, the day this is, there is only one showing, but I am glad to hear it can simply be delayed when there is rain. Does it rain at night often this time of year?

Our experience has been it's more likely to rain in the mid to late afternoon, rather than in the evening.

I go between weather.com and AccuWeather, although if there's a more reliable one out there I'd love to know because weather.com has let me down in the past!

They will wait until the last minute to cancel it. We were there in July and there were heavy rains all evening. They made an announcement about 15 minutes before it was supposed to start that they were cancelling the parade due to weather. They still did Wishes at the scheduled time.

It will rain every day during your trip. Its the rainy season. You adjust. But like someone else said, it rains in the afternoon, not so much in the evenings. We go in Sept every year and I think it has been canceled maybe twice in all our years if that.

I have to disagree that it will rain every day since it doesn't If there are rains predicted, that doesn't mean it will actually rain at WDW.

Orlando-area rains often happen in the afternoon during our summer months, but not that often at night (we live close to the parks) so the odds are in the OP's favor.

Thank you guys so much! I have checked about every weather site there is, and they all say no rain on thursday night, only a 19 percent chance in all of Orlando! I think I should be in the clear! So excited, I have always wanted to see this parade for the last 3 1/2 years!
