MSEP and Dessert party

I'm not sure if I'm totally confused about the tomorrowland terrace dessert party... my reservation is for 6:10 but wishes isn't until 10. That in and of itself is weird and confusing! (other people on here are saying the dessert party is an hour before... that didn't appear to be an option.) I asked the woman helping me on the phone and she said we can go in early, get treats, leave for a few hours and come back before 10 to see wishes. She also said we would have time to watch the MSEP and come back... so I am hoping to get a fastpass+ for the MSEP. Has anyone else done this? Is it feasible? (We have two 4 yos with us, so the later parade is not an option) If we DON'T go at 6 and just arrive at 9:30ish, will there be any desserts left? Is there a table for our reservation, or are we losing our spot if we leave and come back?
Also, am I understanding correctly that the parade fastpass isn't going to be an option with I go on this week at 60 days out?? Do I pick an alternative I don't mind losing, and change it much later?
I'm sure I'm not the only one who LOVES these nighttime shows (maybe even more than rides?!) and wants to get the best of both!! Any advice??

I have never heard that you can go at 6pm and come back. I just arrive an hour prior (9pm for 10pm Wishes). Maybe someone else can clarify this.

They always replenish the desserts so they won't run out. Yes, your table is reserved so you won't lose it.

They don't let people in until 1 hour before Wishes. It isn't staffed and set up with desserts at 6:00, it is just the dummy time they put in MDE. Yes your table is reserved with your name. We got there 10 minutes prior to seating opening & the line was pretty long to get in
