It's my sister-in-law again. You may remember my questioning the symptoms of MS, because I'm convinced she's a drug addict.
I can believe she might possibly have MS. But she has really been acting odd...making me, my sisters, and my mother believe it's more of a drug addiction problem.
Yesterday SIL called my sister and asked her to go pickup some medicine a doctor had called in for her cold. On the phone, her speech was slurred and she couldn't complete a thought. The medicine had been called into an obscure pharmacy 15 miles from SIL's house but closer to my sister's house.
When my sister got there to get the medicine, there were prescriptions for carisoprodol and hydrocodone along with a cough medicine. Last time I checked, that wasn't a really good way to treat a cold! The prescription was also written to a variation of SIL's name that she doesn't use. There was no insurance filed, though I know they have insurance.
About an hour later, my brother called my sister and told her that SIL was having a "spell" and that he needed to take her to the hospital, asking my sister to take care of the kids. He called back a few minutes later and said he was just going to leave the kids at home alone.
This morning, SIL seems all fine and happy. She told my sister that an antibiotic shot in her hip set off an attack of MS, causing her to act strangely last night.
Does this scenario seem plausible to anyone here who has experience with MS? I have lots of other examples of her behavior that lead me to believe she has a drug addiction problem, and I'm worried that she's now dragging the family into her drug problem. She's also putting my neice and nephew in danger because of her driving.
Please, no flames. These are honest questions, and this is a real situation.
