MS puts Room on Hold ?

Over the past year I've read lots of MS scenarios on room reservation mistakes.

My question is, has someone had a problem with their points at time of booking and MS told you they put a " hold " on the room until it was straightened out? Then actually get a confirmation at some point for said room? I've read so many horror stories about people losing the room they booked and wanted to know how worried I should be.

Last Monday I called to make a res. for 3 nights in June.....I was told there was a computer problem with the first night, but they put it on hold for me and not to worry. I called back on Friday and again was told the room was being held for me. I just checked the website and still don't have that night!!
I'll probably call again in a few days.
 
Make sure whatever the problem is, they get it fixed!

I was told the same thing for my Christmas ressie @ SSR. I added a day to the front of our ressie days before we left. There was a problem with the system so they held the room while the problem was being worked out. Something about my points from the cancelled ressie not being placed back in my account for immediate use.

We went on vacation and the day before we were to check out of AKV and move over to SSR, I called MS to confirm that everything was ok. Well no one fixed my ressie and after some anxious moments they were able to locate my held room but it was going to have to be fixed by a manager the next morning. (the morning of check in)

It all worked out and I was able to check in, but I was very disappointed that MS dropped the ball and I could have arrived at SSR and had to deal with all that at the front desk.
 
Nope... after 10 years of making reservations, we have never been dissapointed. I guess we have been very lucky.
 

I called MS again to make sure there was going to be a room for us. They didn't see any hold on a room . I was put on hold while she checked things out. She came back to tell me that she was told that there is a room being held it would take a few days.

With all the stories I hear , here on the boards , I'll be nervous until I get a confirmation #.

Well I got a confirmation today, but just for the 2 days, not the missing day. Called MS again, they checked with "IT" - that's where the problem is. Apparently the computer says my points are not available, but they are, MS can see them, just can't access them. I'm waiting for a call back that it's all fixed!!
