The website is now showing that both my BCV reservations of 2 bedrooms w/ 2 queens in the 2nd bedroom have been cancelled! I did not cancel them! You know how few of those there are so I have been calling day by day this week to book them! The supervisor assures me that they are not cancelled, but it says in the Activity Statement that they are cancelled. He could not say anything that reassures me, but you bet if when I call on Monday if those rooms were booked by someone else that they are going to hear about it! Now I will be worried all weekend.
He also said that even the CMs cannot verify if you have points available, banked or borrowed because the system is wrong. They have to call their IT department who has the "old" system running to make sure they have accurate information. Scary.
I have been in the process of making day by day reservations for 2- 2bedroom units since Monday. I also have a reservation for this November using banked and current points that I made back in December. On Monday when I made the two reservations everything went very smoothly using both current points and some transferred points. The man at MS was knowledgable and the website immediately reflected my reservation accurately.
Tuesday when I called to add a day to both reservations everything changed. My banked points were back in my account as unused and 1/2 of my transferred points were used in my November reservation as well. ?!? The woman at MS said that she had to cancel one of my new reservations and switch out points with my November reservation. Huh?
Somehow with all their system upgrades recentl, the computer is now taking it upon itself to rearrange where the transfer, banked and borrowed points are being used. She said that the system always uses banked poins first, but it wasn't. It was taking transferred points and current points. The woman at MS was able to switch things out and eventually the website reflected things correctly again.
I called again today to add another day to both reservations and AGAIN all my points were used incorrectly, yet differently than yesterday.
I am hoping that when I call tomorrow everything stays the same.
Normally I wouldn't care which points are used where, but I am suspicious that my brother in law might cancel on our trip in 2008 and I want to make sure that I am using 2008 points when that happens, not my banked or 2007 points.
If you are still reading this, I just wanted to make everyone aware of this glitch. Please check the website or call MS if you need to verify where your points are being allocated.
I hope they get this fixed soon! As for now, I'll keep printing out webshots for verification.
