Can someone please help me? The search function is disabled and I need the phone number to MS. I am renting points and need to call to update the people in the room. I had the number and now I can not find it.
Thanks,
Christy

They may ask that the member call to make a change but you can give it a try.

Since I live in Orlando the first number is toll free for me. I added DH to the reservation and we will be in Vero in 13 days!

The toll free number should not be given out. It is for members only.

Presumbly non-members calling the toll number will be promptly told to call the non-toll number? Does not seem like such an offence to me

Thanks

The toll free number was removed. It's our policy that it is not to be shared on the boards since it is for member's only.

Thank you.

Sorry about that, I did not realize I was doing a no-no. :(

I sure hope you guys don't find my other thread revealing the secret DVC hand shake! :smooth:

I didn't realize the 800 number policy either. A quick Google search turned up a dozen hits with the 800 number listed, including another major Disney information site, timeshare resellers, and small "fan" sites. I didn't even have to search any of the many phone directory sites.

No, I'm not trashing the board's rules -- just pointing out how easy it is to get the number.

It's hard to keep anything secret these days! :jester:

Yes it's easy to get the number and that's unfortunate. Our dues pay for the 800 number services. The more calls that are received, the higher the costs to DVC, costs that are passed on to us.

People see the 800 number and think it's a general toll free number for Disney World itself instead of using the 407-WDisney number.

Yes they get a recording that's strictly DVC, but by then the call has been received and charged as an incoming call and the costs paid for out of our dues.

It's a shame that so many sites on the internet simply publish things like this without realizing it is costing other people money.

Just to add to what Caskbill has said--I have an 800 number and every phone call that comes in on it we are charged for-I think some people think "800" it must be a flat fee, but more important to me is what is going on at DVC with member's phone calls-because of the high volume we might not have it for long. I do not want to make my reservations any other way then talking to a human when I call. People that call day by day when it is rarely necessary add to this proplem as well as people calling who are not members.
