MS oly accepts 2 forms of payment--is this new?

I just tried buying our AP's with gift cards and they told me they can only accept 2 cards total over the phone or online. I wanted to buy them in advance so I could book FP+ in advance for our trip which is now within 60 days. I guess I'm stuck waiting until we get there to buy our passes. This sucks!

Pretty sure it is a recent change due to the large amount time it takes to process multiple cards. Time is money.

It's been that way for awhile. I bought a $500 G C for the DVC promo PAP last year to get around it.

I am feeling so rewarded by being a passholder these days. Why only sell small denomination gift cards at box stores if they don't want to accept them? It's not like I'm sending them a barrel of pennies. I get the "time is money" concept, but I never thought they'd turn away money because it's inconvenient.

The thing is that other members will complain if the phone is tied up for one guest for certain length of time.

With over 500,000 members they have to try and balance it all. Do as Kristen suggested and ask to be transferred to tickets.

No, only applies to purchasing park admission.

I've had CMs tell me the same thing (limit 2 cards per transaction) when buying APs on-site as well.

It could be a situation where only certain individuals either know how to process more complex transactions or only select people have access to those transactions.

You need general ticketing services help line. No idea what it is but I got a dvc pass from them with a stack of gift cards. Got will call number and linked it to FP+ no problem in September for a November trip.

I called them first. The guy told me since I have a DVC reservation, I had to buy my tickets through the Member Services line. I talked to the ticket line at MS and they told me max. 2 forms of payment. Maybe I got unlucky and had an inexperienced CM on the line?

You do need to go through member services, but then you need to tell them that you need to be connected to the ticketing department. They should patch you through.

DVC Member Services helped me yesterday on renewing our annual passes and the way we did it was use two forms of payment for renewing each pass. We renewed each pass individually with two forms of payment for each pass.

In 2012, they only allowed us to use 2 cards per payment. We split our APs into individual purchases so we could use two cards per AP.
Personally, I wish they would come out with a website to allow us to enter multiple cards for transactions like these. It would save call time and staff resources. Staffing phone lines for this is far more expensive than a web page.

The limit only applies to tickets purchased thru MS.

This is their way of stopping us from using the discounted Target Disney Gift Cards. The highest denimination that target carries is $50 so two would cover nothing at WDW. Does anyone know what the larget denimination they carry in the stores is currently?
