MS new one

I got a new MS person - she tried to be helpful - but when I added a day and she was trying to give me a new confirmation number I knew that was trouble....

Anyway she did fix the situation - so I can't complaint - just be aware that some of the new MS are on the phones today.

I had one not give me a confirmation # the other week....makes me realize I should call to be sure I'm really on the wait list for the remaining night I need.

I called back, got my number and did receive my confirmation in the mail...so all was okay...but it scared me for a bit.

.... every time I've made changes to an exiting ressie I've gotten a new confirmation number. I've added days,deleted days,swapped days,swapped resorts..... just about every combination possible..... always a new #.

one time before I got a new confirmation for one day - well the resort say it was 2 reservations and make me move.....

they can definitely add a day or take away a day and not change your confirmation - or make you take 2 confirmations which is what she was trying to do.

I can get a little upset when I have to check out of my room and check in another room (generally a whole lot latter) just because MS did not do the reservations right. This happened once and I won't do it again.

the one exception is if you are changing resorts - then of course you must take 2.

have you never had to changed your unit? then the systems worked for you - it didn't for me - so I don't trust being given a new confirmation number for the one day.

ITA w/spiceycat. The one time I did day.by.day (SSR this December), I told the MS CM that I was adding a day; each time, s/he said "Same conf. number - let us know when you've booked the last day, and we'll put your confirmation in the mail." I've read DIS DVC horror stories about "one" reservation with multiple conf. numbers: people having to move, names that were put on one weren't on the other, etc.

They've always combined my ressies together into one new complete stay. The last time I did this,MS gave me three seperate #'s, then combined them into one and mailed me one confirmation for entire stay. I've never had to change rooms.
