MS just called...

MS just called me to cancel our VB stay due 8th - 11th October. I was prepared for the call (mostly due to the excellent info from DIS).

What was amazing was that the CM (Nikki) was firstly shocked and then really pleased at my reaction! I only told her that I completely understood and that my family and I were thinking about everyone out there....she said I'd made her day!

All I can assume is that many of the people she calls have a more adverse reaction to the news........how sad that made me feel.

I know it's sad to have to change plans - we couldn't change our flights from the UK, so booked a place on the Gulf Coast for our first 3 days before our move to BCV. It wasn't difficult, we were just sad that we wouldn't be going to Vero, as well as being thankful that we have a home.

Prayers to all Floridians....you deserve a break!

I would find it almost impossible to be nonunderstanding to a CM in that type of circumstance. They don't have a fun job doing those phone calls. Clearly it is out of their control and they are doing everything possible to take care of the altered vacation plans.

I bet it felt good to make her day!

Can you just imagine the conversations that poor CM has had to endure just trying to do her job? I'm so happy to hear you were able to secure beach ressies elsewhere. Have a great trip...

I am sure there are people who are trying to take advantage of the situations (as in... I can't use my Vero Beach studio so I am now entitled to a OKW Grand Villa for the same points!) And of course they will take it out on MS when MS can't perform the impossible. (I mean everyone can't always get thier first choice on the relocation.)
