MS: How technology has progressed in 50 years

Below is a link to a Hilton Advertisement from 1958 bragging about their technology. Have 50 years of computer technology really gotten us much beyond this? Not really sure if there's any deep meaning here - I just found it interesting and thought I'd pass it along.
