ok, to end this saga. This morning , the room was still there and the waitlist was not filled. I talked with chat. She checked into and said it's listed as still searching. I said but the room is there. Well the computer takes the waitlist in order. Again I said the room is still there. If all the waitlist ahead of mine are filled and the room is still there........... She said a supervisor need to looks at this and I should call. So I called. MS couldn't understand it either, put me on hold, still working, came back again and had the day.

So now we are set room wise......Checking AKL Friday evening savanna view studio until Monday. On Monday switch to BLT lake view studio until we check out on Saturday.

I think others have had the same experience as you - which is why many recommend stalking the website even after placing a waitlist request, and if you see a waitlisted room available, book it (then modify your waitlist if there are additional nights you want) instead of waiting for the WL process to get it. The WL process doesn't always pick up rooms when it should.

We have a Saratoga Springs reservation in March. When I booked it I had to book 1 night studio, 4 nights 1 bedroom because that's all that was available. I have been watching and finally all 5 nights came available for the 1 bedroom so I called and had them drop the 1 night studio and book the 5 nights 1 bedroom. I couldn't do it my self due to the 50% rule on borrowing. The CM did it for me in less than 5 minutes.

The WL process doesn't always pick up rooms when it should.

I wanted to use the points from the AKL room to book the BLT room. Unless I drop the room first and then booked, I would have to borrow points.
