When my family went to Walt Disney World in 1997 I saw two restaurants in the Magic Kingdom and I would like to know if you remember them? Mrs. Potts Cupboard sold ice cream milkshakes and coke and root beer floats and then there was Lumiere's Kitchen which was a restaurant catered to kids that sold sandwiches and corn dogs and other kid-friendly food and Lumiere's Kitchen also had an adults menu too. Are these restaurants still in operation in Magic Kingdom or did they close and get replaced with something else?

I remember Mrs. Potts Cupboard! It’s now Storybook Treats. They still sell the same kind of things (ice cream, floats, etc)

When I looked it up, I found that Lumiere's closed in 2006 and became the Village Fry Shop. That closed in 2009 and became Friar's Nook.

PP already discussed Mrs. Potts Cupboard.

What was the menu for Lumiere's Kitchen like? Because I remember reading that they sold grilled cheese sandwiches for the kids but what was the other foods they sold?

Yes! I was in the DCP in Summer 1993 and Lumiere’s was my first assignment! It played the Beauty and the Beast soundtrack on a loop the entire day. Needless to say, I knew all of those songs by heart! 😆 We wore white chef hats and jackets as part of our costumes. As far as food, it was pretty basic counter service fare as I remember it. There were definitely hamburgers and cheeseburgers, with toppings, fries, chicken strips and I seem to recall a chicken sandwich. I don’t remember a grilled cheese sandwich offhand but I’m sure that could have been there too. And the previous poster is correct! It is now Friar Nook’s and I know this because I point it out to my husband and kids all the time. 😊

The other half of my program I was assigned to the Fantasyland Stands, which in 1993 included The Round Table (Ice cream floats and sundaes, now Storybook Treats), a popcorn and lemonade stand which I think was called Hook’s Tavern and is now gone but was right near Peter Pan’s Flight, and a stand alone tent across from Pinocchio’s that sold milkshakes from a machine, drinks and maybe pretzel's? I remember it having a huge circus tent-like top because during summer downpours I used to have a great time talking to guests who would seek cover from the storms. I just looked it up and The Round Table did indeed become Mrs. Potts Cupboard in 1994 and then Storybook Treats in 2010.
