Thought i better start my report now as my memory isnt what it used to be lol
Wednesday 19th April 2006:
Woke up at 3.15am and fell out of bed, DH already awake and up trying to wake the DS's. We all got up and dressed and left the house shortly before 5am to make our way to Manchester Airport. l was in charge of the directions to the car park and as we approached the airport l realised we had gone the wrong way. So we end up driving around for about 20 minutes and decided to stop and ask directions. Stopped at the Etrop Grange hotel and the driver informed us that we were still a few miles away
, so he gave us the info we needed and thankfully we managed to find it, just as things were getting a bit stressed in the car!!!
We packed the cases onto the bus, headed off to the airport and just checked in within the 3hrs deadline. Now l could relax a little! We had some breakfast and went straight through to the gate, looked at the duty free and basically whiled away the hours until boarding.
The flight was nice and smooth with just a few bumps as we approached Orlando and it only took 8hrs 25mins! We landed at Orlando and hit a bit of a queue going through Immigration, having to wait just short of an hour. After that we went to collect the luggage as DH went to sort out the hire car. We hired a Dodge Caravan, 7 seater van, woah it was massive!!!
Off again from the airport following my directions again to the hotel, La Quinta on SR535 and thankfully found it easily.
Checked in and looked around for a while and then headed to the Walmart over the road for supplies lol Had a snack and a drink and fell into bed, absolutely worn out
