Sorry, search function is disabled. What can you tell me about Mr. Sanchos? Is this the same, or similar, to the Disney Beach Break? Cost?

Thank you --

I don't know about the disney beach break..but we did go to Mr. Sanchos...there is no cost, except the cab ride to get you there. It is $15 there, I think for up to 4 people..we paid $14 to go back, we were dropped at the forum shops.

We loved Mr. Sancho's...you can check it out at mrsanchos.com.

The beach is beautiful, great restaurant...you can eat inside or down in the sand. Great swing bar (the seats are swings). Water trampoline for the kids. Beautiful large hot tub. Locker area. The bathrooms are very clean and very nice. There are also some little shops to look around in. ATV rentals, horseback riding area...probably more things, as we just relaxed and ate..lol.

Hubby said he could spend days there..I said there isn't a hotel..he said, I bet there is one close...lol.

The food is absolutely delicious...there were coupons for a free ice cream or a free margarita on the website when we went (9/13 magic). Try the guacamole...best we have every had. The servers are excellent.

Hubby and I can highly recommend Mr. Sanchos. Well worth the trip. We spent about three hours there...could have stayed longer, but, it was our first time to Cozumel and we wanted to get going and check out the rest of the town.

Enjoy!

Grumpy's Mom -

Maybe it wasn't working because I was doing a search on the same thing probably at the same time!!!

webray -

Thanks for the info. Sounds great. Can't wait to go.

I guess the food is safe to eat as you said you have eaten it.

Did you have a margarita or did you stick with bottled beer?

Oh yes, the food is safe. We found the kitchen/restaurant area and the bathrooms to be very clean. (bathrooms are cleaner than any public bathrooms dream of being in the US)

We had tecate...because we were in the mood for beer. I can't believe I didn't have a margarita in mexico...but, there is always next time. Anyway...they serve the margarita's...if you want..in those yard type beer glasses...very cool, all different flavors..there was a group of 5 adults next to us...they said they were delicious.

We didn't go back on the ship for dinner either...we ate at Carlos and Charlies...right across from the dock. What a blast...again the front is open to face the street, they have music and dancing. Lots of action. The food again, delicious. We were so glad we stayed out for dinner.

We also ate lunch off the ship in Grand Cayman. We ate at Big Bamboo, it was delicious...next time we will try Rackhams...a larger menu. Both are a short walk up the road...oceanside.

I am happy to answer any questions.

Our friends and I went to Mr Sancho's in June while on our DCL. It really was great. We atually rented jeeps and explored the island and then spent the afternoon at Mr Sanchos. The food was great as were the margaritas and cold beer! If you go to their website, you can print out a coupon that's good for either a free ice cream or margarita. Make sure you take one for each person in your party. My daughter also got her hair braided while we were at Mr Sanchos and the price was right and they did a great job. The only thing that was alittle uncomfortable for the kids was that they salespeople in the little stores here were alittle aggresive with them so just make sure you walk around with your kids. We'll be heading back in in January!

At the moment the search function is disabled so I need to ask...

has anyone done the ATVs and Waverunners at MrSancho's?

We'd like to give them a try. I'm wondering if my 2 teenagers would be able to operate them or would we have to double up?

Also cost, safety etc? Any info would be appreciated!!!

Thanks!

CJSmith and Webray - thank you for great info - especially about the hair braiding!!

You're very welcome! Enjoy the day at Mr Sanchos is you go and enjoy the whole entire cruise!!!

Was the beach at Mr. Sanchos rocky or sandy to the water and was the water calm for little one to play in the sand and swim?

Thanks!

Can you rent chairs and umbrellas? I also want to know if the beach is sandy or rocky.
Thanks!!!

The chairs and table were first come, first serve. There was no charge to enter the beach club or use the tables and chairs, even the "lounge type" chairs that were closer to the water. From what I can remember, the beach and water were pretty sandy. None of us had water shoes and we all didn't have a problem.
