I have read the post about the taxi brouhaha.

And I read eveyone raving about Mr. Sancho's.

And I have EVEN gone to Mr. Sancho's website.

Still, no one(that I could find) has answered these questions:

1) What does it cost to get into Mr. Sancho's?
2) Is there a cost for just using the beach?
3) Is food and/or drink included or extra?
4) What activities cost extra?

Any other info I need to know about?

Thanks in advance,
Jon

Hi Jon....let me start by saying WELCOME and congrats on your first post!!!

No cost to get into Mr. Sanchos or to use their beach.

Food and drink are extra (you cannot bring your own). There is a coupon at their website for a free ice cream or margarita with any food purchase. I use it there with no problem. We had ordered nachos and beer.

Tables and chairs are complimentary (with thached roof)

Plastic sand loungers are complimentary

Loungers with thick cushions are extra

Any water rental would be extra, as well as the trapoline in the water

Jon~

It's a great place! The food is very good, they have a very large jacuzzi that a lot of people were hanging out in. The beach is beautiful & clean & they are very nice. I think the lounge chairs with cushions were $5 extra- very nice. It's free entry, but they do expect you to order food, or drink. It wasn't too crowded the day we were there. They have all kind of water stuff to rent. We just vegged & enjoyed the beach!

We did not have any problems with the cabs.

Welcome to the DIS boards!

Mr. Sancho's is wonderful...they didn't "expect" us to order food/drink...although we had planned on it anyway, after all the rave reviews from cruisers on this board who had been there before us.

The horseback riding/atv's cost extra. Anything besides just lounging on the beach would probably cost extra..you could probably get a price list by emailing mrsanchos right from the website.

I would plan on having lunch there once getting off the ship...well worth it...very yummy!

Enjoy!

If you do not plan on ordering food/drinks, I would just lay on the beach and not get a table. We had a table for our party of 12. We knew we would order drinks and food after getting settled. We ended up waiting a while to order so that we could wait for all our "boys/men" to get back from horseback riding, atv and jet ski rental. The waiter really starting laying the pressure on us about when we were going to order and that he gave us his best table. The more pressure he put on, the more annoying he became. The activities were more or less done at the same time, it did not take all day, yet we were not ready to order as soon as we hit Sanchos. I just get very turned off by pushy people - they want you to drink and eat and of course spend your money there. The shop people were also very pushy which was to be expected. We did have a great time though - I just wish people don't follow you around hungry for you.
