Mr. Romance Wants YOUR Best Ideas...

I recently saw a special on the Food Network -- I think...might have been The Learning Channel -- on WDW romantic wedding/anniversary things. A couple was spending their anniversary at the World with their grown children. Their daughter set up a surprise wedding vow renewal at the Poly before dinner. It was beautiful and quiet, outside on the grass with the castle in the view behind them. The couple was so surprised and had tears in their eyes all night!

DH & I are going for our anniversary this September. We're trying something new for our actual "day." No parks, no stress, no rushing to make ADRs. We're going to sleep in, have a nice hearty breakfast in our timeshare, head to the pool for a bit for some sun, get massages at our spa, then hit a romantic off-site restaurant (Emeril's Chop Tchop - sp?) for dinner.

We're there for a full week, so we figure one day of stress-free "us time" will be a nice change :)

Hope both couples have a great time!

my husband & i went to the mandara spa in march & it was so relaxing & romantic. we had the couples massage treatment, it started with a private jacuzzi room with arometherapy & lit candles. then we moved next store to our private massage room where we had side by side massages. i definetly recommend this!

also happy anniversary!

That sounds glorious, Twojo! I need to get on the horn with my timeshare to see what they offer, and I'm going to ask if they have something like that :)

Don’t forget to stop in at guest relations and pick up your button...(for anniversary’s not just wedding/honeymoons)....Just for good food i recommend the Flying Fish...kind of loud though....Also plan a dinner in Cinderella castle (ask for the window seat...it will keep you way from kids and they make it special)….What I have to say is so sweet are those silly light up roses…(they still have them on some carts)…My brother always runs and gets one when his girlfriend is in the bathroom….gets them every time

Wendy - I've already scheduled the flying fish AND Cinderella's Royal Table - can I request a window seat in advance or do I just ask when we arrive for our seating?
Light up roses, eh? Where do they sell those?
And I was wondering about some buttons of some sort - can I get those at guest relations at any of the parks?

Thanks for the feedback!

Best way to get the window seat is calling the restaurant itself...WDW-DINE cant always guarantee it...but a few days before give them a call and let them know ...also you can order a special cake to be delivered during your dinner....
As for the rose...they are on the glow carts at every park.....(along with some great other light up toys)
Your right Buttons are at MK town hall (guest relations) and every other park...just have to ask they are free...Disney does sell fancier ones at the pin trading stands...but all the employees are told to congratulate people with the free buttons...
Have fun...

DH and I just booked our trip for our anniversary. We are going Sept. 10-14th and are staying at the BW.

I made reservations for LeCellier for 8:10 the night of our anniversary (12th)this way we can watch the fireworks. I also booked a carriage ride for the next night. I am going to call about the chocolate covered strawberries. That is a great idea.

Just thought I'd bump this so others might see it and respond...

Don't know if this will help you or not, but I just finished a trip report on the surprise trip I planned for my wife on our 10th anniversary. I put it on its own website since it is so long and there are so many pictures. Here is the address:

Feel free to use the email link there or PM me here with any questions and I'll do my best to answer them.

My husband and I did a carriage ride at Fort Wilderness on our honeymoon. Include a bottle of champagne & time it w/the fireworks at the Magic Kingdom. It was an awesome evening!
