Mr Potato Head

I have read threads about fill-your-own boxes for Mr and Mrs Potato Head. Are these only for the add-on bits? Do you still have to buy the Mr Potato basic head separately? Also, would you say they are suitable for a 3 year-old - looking to get my DS something Disney and different (ie that you can't buy in UK) fo rhis birthday.

As other threads have reported, it isn't necessary to buy the potato as part of the box. We bought our bodies at WalMart for about $ 5.00 and then got Disney specific body parts at WDW. There are different parts at gift shops throughout the parks, but the most comprehensive selection is in DTD.

The Darth Tater outfit can be hard to find, but is available at the gift shop at Star Tours in MGM, as well as at DTD.

Can you buy Mr. Potato Head in UK? If you can, then just buy the body there before you go, and then buy the parts at Disney, that way you can pack more parts in the box.

Note: just remember to buy the arms too at Disney because the arms are special for the parts.
