Hello all

7 weeks before we are at Disneyland again,

My Sister would like me to get her a Mr Potato Head with the extra pieces,

Where would be the best shop to buy at please,

Thanks in Advance

Darren

I only ever found it at one place, maybe there are others though, someone else may be able to help.
Anyway we bought it in DCA in the shop at the end of the train California Zephyr.

Hi Darren

As far as I am aware there is only 1 place that sells the potato head pieces. It is just inside the gates of DCA on the right hand side. Not sure what it is called - maybe Engine Ears or something like that.

Hope that helps.

These are both the same store Imaginears toys. On the right after you go under the golden gate bridge. :thumbsup2

I only know of that one store, they are so cool!!

Now, my advice is to pick your pieces before you start putting them in the box, you'll need to use strategy to get the most in your box, using every nook and cranny there is. It is really amazing how much stuff you can fit in that little box. Make sure you get extra arms, only the ones sold at the parks can hold all the accessories. You don't have to buy the "body" if you don't want to (unless they changed the policy). There are also 2 different box sizes (which I only recently learned about here).

Have fun!!

As the others said, the store is in California Adventure--on the right as soon as you walk into the park. Only buy the accessories and arms there, don't bother with the bodies. The bodies are generic and you can buy those at home. I think it is around $19.99 for a box jammed full of accessories.

They have the box or a BIG potato head you can fill for $49.95 (I believe)......I stuffed that baby FULL.....as long as the lid can close you get what ever you can get in there!!! Totally worth it.......we got home with close to 75 pieces (hats, wigs, arms, shoes, eyes, Disney themed items, etc)

I hope these are still available. We will be there soon and this is one of the souveniers we told the kids we'd get. I already have the Mr. Potato Heads at home so all we would need are the pieces.

Like everyone said..inside DCA on the right at the imaginEARS store!! We live getting the pieces and have a huge tub full at home...but again like others have mentioned don't buy the potatoes there...first trip we went and got potato head stuff I bought the potatoes at target and brought them with me in the suitcase...then we stuffed 2 boxes (our first time) and then when we got back to the hotel the kids went crazy (ok so did I)

Every year we just stuff all we can that's new in the 19.99 box...and maybe a few more hands and our collection is growing!!
Tons of fun..enjoy!!

I have not bought these at DL but I did at WDW. The CM at the nearby register saw me putting part in the box she stopped me, she took the parts I wanted and packed the box for me - they know what fits where and how to make the most of the space in the box.

If you do want to get the Potato Head just make sure you stuff him with pieces too! And I agree - get extra arms, they are small and they get lost easily so it is good to have a couple extra.

Oh I've never heard about this!! I LOVE finding out all these super fun details on this board! :) THANK YOU!!!!!!

Just a helpful clarification: The name of the store is Engine-Ears Toys. :goodvibes

Can you still get these?
Yes. Some pieces may change over time, but the Mr. Potato Head parts and "stuff a box" is still there.

I just read something in my disneyland book about this closing/leaving sometime soon. Anyone been there lately or going soon that could ask a worker. Please and thanks. My kindergarteners love these toys!!!

It was still there 2 weeks ago, but I was surprised that there wasn't more of a selection. This was our first DLR trip, so perhaps it is always like this, but they only had the circular unit with the pieces coming down through the chutes.

The last time we were at WDW (2009), they had the circular unit and 6 or so other smaller structures with various character ensembles. I was hoping DLR would have these as well, but they did not. :confused3

I hope they aren't discontinuing this ... we were hoping to ADD to our collection!

I wanted to do this last time with DD but ran out of time. Does anyone have pictures of this? I think she would really like this! My SIL loves Mr. Potato head too so I may get some pieces for her too :)

I brought one of these back from DTD at WDW when I went to Orlando on business. I gathered, packed, gathered some more, dumped and repacked, dumped and repacked again and finally wound up with a really stuffed box for my girls. It was actually a lot of fun and I think the CMs got a kick out of watching me! Also, I didn't buy the heads - My girls already each had one. Since you can get a standard head with some accessories for $6 at Walgreens, I didn't feel the need to waste valuable Minnie ears space on it...:earsgirl:
