We just went to Disneyland two weeks ago, and while I was there I completely forgot to buy the Disney themed Mr Potato Head pieces (if they still sell them). Before our trip I read that there is a store (in DCA I think) where for a set price you can get as many pieces as you can stuff into a box. Is that still true? If so, how much does it cost?

I can't believe I forgot to look, we probably won't be going back for about two years and I wanted to get these pieces for my daughter who is just starting to get interested in Mr Potato Head.

Do they sell these pieces outside of DL/DCA (such as online or at Disney Stores)? I don't see them on Disneystore.com

Yes, they still sell them. I can't remember how much but I know someone else can give you that info. You might be able to get them delivered through DeliverEars. Sorry I don't have their number. Boy, I'm just a wealth of non-information. :rotfl: Sorry I couldn't be more helpful but thought I would give a quick response so you at least know there might be a way to get what you need. Good luck!

I paid $18 for an overflowing box of Mr. Potato Head parts. I don't believe you can get them anywhere but at DL and WDW.

I bought the smallish box for $20 the last time I was there. The key is stuffing it correctly and maximizing the amount of pieces. I just would not see deliverears doing that? They also sell the big plastic Mr. Potato Head and you can fill him for $40. I would be interested to fill two boxes and then put them into the Potato Head to see if the amount would fit, or if the Potato head would hold more.

Anyhow, in October, I will be checking this out again. I need to take an inventory of the last box and then I am going to check it against what else is available and see if I need another box.

I would be willing to pack a box, and send it to you if you sent the funds in advance:)

OMG I never knew about these!! We are so getting them in September. What store at DCA?

It is at the Engine Ears toy store just inside the entrance to DCA. We are going in late Sept and I would be willing to get a box for you too if you would like. I have paypal so you could pay in advance. I have heard that some of the CMs in the store will help you pack your box to maximum efficiency. Also, if you wanted to call them direct they might ship it to you or I could pick it up from them and ship it to you. Let me know in a PM if you need my help.

wow never heard of this !!! anyone got pictures

Thanks, but I have a family member in the LA area who has an annual pass and I'll ask her to get me some pieces next time she is there...I just wished I could've picked out the pieces myself. How big is the box that they let you fill? I do see some of the individual pieces for sale on various website, but they are $2-$3 per piece and I'm guessing it would be much cheaper to fill the box at DCA.

What is DeliverEars? I assume it's a website, but I can't find it.

(800)362-4533 and dldelivears@disney.com

"Delivears"- the above info is just for Disneyland. WDW has a different number. When you call or e-mail you are able to order just about any item that is sold in the theme parks. If you are able to describe it to them and/or tell them where you saw the item (the more info you can give the better) they are great at being able to look it up and sell it to you and ship it. For instance, when we were in WDW someone in my home wanted one of those round pillow type stuffed Yetti's from Expodition Everest. I called WDW Delivears, described it and had it delivered to our home in California. Shipping wasn't expensive either, only about $3.00.

Good Luck!

The box is a good value, and the pieces are darling. If I had to guess, (and I do, because I stuffed the box so well that it tore before I ever got it home), I would say 5x5 by 6. The employee helped me stuff mine and then I managed to stuff about 6 more pieces in:)

Here's my tip about them-Get extra arms!

The arms are made with hands that hold all the darling pieces (Mickey Ice Cream Bar anyone?). If you were to lose an arm, the regular MPH arms will not hold those pieces. So grab an extra set or two in case your kiddo loses an arm. They are skinny and easy to pack around in the box. :thumbsup2

We almost always get a box when we go (this time we didn't since we had all the pieces they had). Best to have the actual potato from else where. That way you don't take up space with that. That way you just fill the whole box with pieces!

I'd call and see if they could get it for you, they are pretty magical :)

We love love love getting these, and can really stuff a ton of pieces in. At the end, be sure and shake and drop a bunch of tiny ones in, just to maximize the space.

If anyone needs help getting em, just pm me, I'm happy to help.
