Mr Potato Head Parts

Well, i'm glad to read i'm not the only adult that loves MPH!! i just got one box o'stuff on my last trip and already eager for more. I can't wait for Feb!

I can't wait to get the parts for my DD2 (ok..ok..for me too!) I am also going to get a box for my niece! A little OT, but did you see the MPH parts at Target? They are for your pumpkins, they have a princess, pirtate, dracula (I think) and a witch. You use them for your pumpkin first and then for your MPH.. Or you can just use them for MPH!!! :rotfl: I think they were only $5.

I haven't seen them yet as Target is a hike for us and we only go for things we want not to look around. I'm thinking I might need to plan a trip. I really really LOVE my darth tater. He just make sme happy ecerytime I see him. I know this is only going to get better with DISNEY parts.

DH and i just bought small pumpkins for DD at the pumpkin farm and using a pointy object we were able to stick the mr. potato head parts in it! we used the pirate set we bought last year and he is sitting on our front stoop! haha!! It works and looks great! we leave tomorrow and i CANNOT wait to fill another box of parts :)

Okay, dumb question. Is there a place in the Magic Kingdom where I can buy this stuff, or just in Downtown Disney?

I bought a box of parts in Mickey's Toontown Fair. Seeing this list makes me feel "normal" I have three or four boxes of parts at work with three Mr. Potato Heads (one is on loan to my neighbor - was decorated for her birthday). They get costume changes periodically.

Question for anyone who has the yellow rain poncho - were you able to get it to fit and have the arms fit right?

We just saw a Mr. Potato Head bundle at BJ's/Sams. It was $16 and you got Mr. Potato Head, Mrs. Potato Head, and 2 kids with about 40 parts. Now to find time to get back to disney and get all the extras now that we have all the bodies we would ever need.

The stuff with XX "" I want but doubt they have in WDW.

-bare feet with Mickey Mouse flip-flops XX

-Bride veil with Minnie ears XX

-Mad Hatter top hat XX

-Davy Crockett style coon skin cap XX

-Buzz Lightyear Spaceship base XX

-"Rock n Roller Coaster" guitar XX

We got all of these at either DTD or in Toontown at the MK. We bought two boxes, one at each store. We also bought the rain poncho (sold separately) on sale for $1.99. The Dumbo base was sold separately for $5 at DTD.

At Toontown, we were allowed to purchase extra parts for $2, which is how we paid for the Buzz Lightyear base. Some of the parts are VERY big, like the Ariel and Tink bases and hats. If you can't fit 9 of them in a box, you are better off to just buy them separately.

There were lots of the NYC parts at the DTD store but we didn't buy any. There were also lots of non-Disney MPH parts like eyes and noses that we stuffed in any empty holes.

I believe the "" should have read ("") I think the NYC hats were the only parts that fell under area. These other are actually parts that I'm not interested in. Thanks for letting me know where I can get the bigger pieces at $2 each though because that would be great. I was thinking the same thing if some pieces just took up too much room to get. Now I'll check at Toontown to buy those pieces on their own. Thanks for your help

Thanks BBGirl for posting that great list of parts.
Oogieboogie directed me to it from another thread. After all the time I've spent on these boards, I can't believe I missed that there were so many more amazing parts for our MPH since we went in 2002.
Getting ready for some major box-stuffing!

You can put a head in the box if you want to, but don't have to. I get them at garage sales or free from people getting rid of them. Then I outfit them with parts I buy on trips to WDW. Obviously, if you are not putting the head in the box, there is more room for the pieces. At $18 a box, it's better to get a head somewhere else. IMO

I just got back from Disney World and I got the rain poncho on clearance for $1.99. I checked out all the Mr. Potato Heads in the stores I went in and it was on clearance at all of them.

if you don't mind, write down the 59 things and I'll play around with my box tonight and see how much I can stuff in. Then I'll let you know how many boxes you'll probably need.

I have pretty much everything except Tink's hair, Tink's shoes, and vintage Minnie's hat.

LMBO

I just have to ask if you'll provide packing instructions with diagrams! LMBO

Not that I can laugh too much, I do my Potato shopping when DH is along since he is the better packer then I ;) No kids here and yet I think I have probably 6 or 7 boxes too.

We had bought our 1st 2 boxes in Dec2002
Bought 2 more boxes Sept2004
Last 2 boxes Oct2005

We have 2 heads (from Disney) and I think all I'm missing so far is the Mad Hatter plus the pre-packaged ones like the Western and Holidays. But now I have the pumpkin from this last release of accessories :)

I'm also impressed you boxes made the trips home that you have one to practice packing with! LOL

Going over these posts reminded me that I need Minnie's hat still. Guess I need another box ;)

Last trip or 2 I grabbed extra (empty/still folded flat) boxes on my way out of the store. I made the mistake of asking for an "extra" one so I could divide and give some of my extra parts as a gift and use the box. Since I did but all the parts there. And since I stuff the boxes so tight that they usually pop as soon as they are paid for...
Well the CM told me that I could NOT have a new box. Only the one I paid for... Good thing I took the others before asking permission!

Does the actual Mr. Potato Head take up a lot of the box? How many parts could you fit with it?
Thank You :-))))).

Any new parts come out since October? TIA!!!

Has anyone else been told 'no' to taking extra boxes? YIKES! i've snagGED some before too!

There were some new parts as of last weekend, Pres.weekend that is. No idea what they were... .sorry...
And I was told that " We can't GIVE you extra boxes if you ask for them..." as the CM looked the other way.... so I took them on the way out. I guess that is stealing, kinda like if you took an extra bag, IMO.

I do remember a few things I think were new. A Donald Duck head that was like a hat, but it was actuall DD's head. A little strange, but cutish. And the same type of thing for Goofy. This was in addation to the actual DD sailor hat and Goofy's ? Green top hat. Also some more Minnie mouse things. And some thing else I was excited about at the time... Buzz Lightyear blaster? some sun glasses and other little things...

Wish I had taken notes... Sorry folks!

anyone else?

I have every intention of when I go in December to get every Mr Potatohead piece they have there. My boyfriend yelled at me when I didn't get them the last time I went! LOL

I think I will use my reward dollars from my Disney Visa to pay for this stuff. I just hope I remember to leave room in my suitcase to bring it all home!

There are no "new" parts not listed in the Master List although their are other parts there they are "normal" MPH. The head does take up most of the box but remember at WDW you do NOT have to put the head in. Those buying alot of parts should remember weight in their packing we had to pack ours into two different suitcases so we would not have to pay a overweight luggage fee. I got 4 :cool1: boxes while down and still didn't get everything :teeth: I would have done better if my 6 year old DS didn't keep putting stuff in my box :rotfl: You could get in all into 5 boxes as I think I only have nine more items to get and I got doubles of somethings.
