Can you guys tell me if you could maybe get all the Disney parts for Mr Potato Head in say two boxes at the DTD store? Or would I need three. There are about 6 things I don't want on the list. Also are all the parts available or just the ones released in 2005? I really want some of the NY stuff too. Are those available in WDW too or just in NY??
Wow I guess that's alot of questions. :rotfl:
Thanks

I didn't buy any parts, but I saw them this weekend and some looked really large, like a bridal veil. You might be able to do it in two boxes, though. I'm just not sure. :confused3

If you want all the parts (and I mean all), you'll need at least 5 boxes! :rotfl:

Some of the pieces are quite big, like Buzz Lightyear ride base, Ariel's fish base, Tinkerbell's hairpiece. Not to mention the different shoes. The hats are pretty big too.

I've been filling up a box everytime we go down and so far I've filled up 7 boxes and I still need 3 more pieces.

There are some NY stuff at DTD: the Statue of Liberty headpiece, SOL torch, mickey head pretzel, slice of mickeyhead pepperoni pizza. That's it.

All the parts are available unless they discontinued it.

Remember, too, if you don't already have the potato head itself, you can also use the inside of the potato to pack more stuff in. Then pack stuff under and around it before topping it off. As long as you get the box closed! Take your time packing it up. DH laid all the pieces out, visualized how he was going to pack it up, and then started piecing the "puzzle" together. I was amazed at how much stuff he was able to pack in (of course, that could partly be the engineer in him at work)!!!

There was a thread a while back that had great pics of what some people were able to get into a box. If I can find it, I'll pass it on...

5 Boxes :confused3 :confused3   I can't get 5 boxes 3 was pushing with DH as he just won't believe that their not for DS or DD. I wonder if I don't get any bases I count 59 things I want. I guess I'll see :cheer2: :cheer2:

if you don't mind, write down the 59 things and I'll play around with my box tonight and see how much I can stuff in. Then I'll let you know how many boxes you'll probably need.

I have pretty much everything except Tink's hair, Tink's shoes, and vintage Minnie's hat.

I can tell you right now, out of the fourth release (2005), I was able to fit everything except Minnie's hat with flower, Tink's hair, Tink's shoes in one box. I didn't see the Mickey Mouse doll when I went. So that's one box right there.

::MickeyMo We have been filling up Mr. Potato Head boxes just about every trip down there. The last time we were there, mid-September, the cast member in Once Upon A Toy told me the box had to be closed ALL the way. Every time before that we were allowed to make sure the tops touched. That was what the other cast members told us. I'd be sure to pack it myself. This last time the cast member did it and when I got back to the resort I did it over again myself. I could have fit the Minnie Mouse hat in that I had to leave behind. You can easily fit the smaller pieces in between the medium and large ones. I drop a few extras in after I pack the box. I have two daughters who play with them all the time and it's a good idea to have more of one piece sometimes! Each time we are down there most of the parts are different. ::MinnieMo

How much does the box cost? Do the parts go with the Mr. Potato head from walmart? And do you get to pack the pieces yourself, or do they try to help? Thanks you all for your help. :goodvibes

When did the fourth release actually get to DTD? We were there in July and there wasn't anything new at that point. Now I see a huge amount of new items I want to add to my son's collection.

The boxes are $18. The pieces fit a standard Mr. Potato Head, and you get to pack the box yourself. :)

I am curious about this whole thing too. Do you buy the Mr. Potato head there? How does this whole thing work????? I am sure my kids would love it.

If you have a Mr Potato Head (MHP) you do not have to buy one down there. There is a station (for want of a better word) that has all the MPH "Parts" that you can then fill a box they prvide with for $18. I listed the parts that I know of above.

Man, I knew there was something I forgot to do last week when we were there! I did see the glass slippers, and was going to check if there was any other new stuff, but forgot! Drat!!!

Anyway, I have been able to get a ton of stuff in 1 box. I got the Disney CM pin in the suitcase with something else. And I nestle all the stuff together befor placing it in the box, and then make sure that there isn't ANY space around it,usually I can stuff something else under it, or on the side/top. I have got so much stuff in 1 box that when I unpacked it at home I can't get it all back in. I can spend a ton of time doing this! Thank Goodness I have friends going down this weekend. I am going to copy out the things I want from the list on this thread. Thanks!

I just got back from WDW a couple of weeks ago, and here is what I fit into my box:

tink's hair
tink's shoes
tink's wings
girl eyes
tink's wand
mickey's shoes
donald's bill
donald's hat
autograph book & pen
pretzel
sorcerer mickey's hat
mickey ears hat
cinderella's slipper on pillow
buzz lightyear ride gun
pirate eyes
minnie princess hat
aurora's hat
minnie's shoes
pin trading lanyard
suitcase
ticket
mickey ice cream bar
eyes
2 arms
and a guest of honor badge

I had bought Darth Tater at Walmart before I left, and all the WDW pieces work fine with it. It's such a great souvenier, you've now inspired me to change it up again! :goodvibes

Oh Great...One more thing to add to my list of things to do!! :rotfl:

This sounds SOO cool...can't wait to stuff a box!!

:cheer2:
