Hey you super Disney knowledgeable folks!

My DDs recieved the giant Mr. Potato Head Disney parts bucket from some friends when they went to WDW last year. We are heading to DLR in a week's time (WOOOHOOO!) and I was wondering if they sell the pieces their as well!? TIA

You can get the Mr. Potato Head pieces at the Toy Store in DCA. I'm not sure about inside DL.

Yes, in DCA they sell them at the Engine Ears Toy store. Off to the right when you walk in the park. They do have some in the back of Toon Town, but not as great of selection.

I always forget the price, but to fill box of parts (we never get the potato head itself, takes up too much room), I want to say it's around $18.

Another silly question. We are staying at the DLH, and plan on using the pool. Do we need to bring our own towels for the pool, or can you take yours from the room!?
Thanks again oh wise ones!

The place in ToonTown to get Mr. Potato Head stuff is the Gag Factory. The display bins are against a back wall, and everyone keeps saying the selection is not that great, but I found he selection to be fine. It all depends on what time of day you go and how many people have already hit that shop. The Cast Member who rang me up in Gag Factory said that that shop is busier simply because more people shop in Disneyland overall than in DCA, so the selection in EnginEars might be better because not as many people go there. You do have to rummage through the bins in Gag Factory, however. You might spot a hidden piece way in the back of a bunch of parts you don't need, so look carefully. And the price is a bargain $18 to fill up the whole box - the body/head is not necessary. Just fill it with as many parts as you can cram in there, or as folks have suggested on this board, have the CM stuff the box for you and they can get maximum tater-age for your buck in the box!!!

I with not getting the head and just buying the parts.

We bought ours at Engineer Toys in DCA. There was a another couple there buying one and the CM at the register told them about not getting the head and sent them back to put more stuff in the box. But they still didn't put enough stuff in the box and the CM sent them nack again. The CM finally got frustrated and went over and started to cram pieces in the box for them. The couple had this dumbfounded look on there faces, but seemed ok with it. We were just laughing our heads off, it was so funny. :rotfl:

We stopped at the Toys R Us next to the Character Wherhouse and got the basic Mr Potato head for $6. Also I have sometimes seen parts at the Character Wharehouse.

I heard somewhere that you can fill up a giant container (shaped like Mr. Potato Head?) for something like $45 or so. I don't know if that is true... can someone else confirm this?

Yep, pretty sure it's a big container shaped like Mr. Potato Head. Never done that one, DH would probably have a heart attack if I spent $45 on potato head parts. LOL
