FWIW, I didn't wear a formal gown last year, and I'm not this year. I am wearing a nice dress, though.

I never dress up and they never say anything. Being overweight makes it hard to find something that looks good, and typically plus size fancy outfits are WAY overpriced. I usually just wear slacks and a top. I think we are going to dress up the baby though.

...I actually had a formal dress from an event a couple of years ago. I wonder if I still have it.

I was driving to meet some friends for dinner a few nights ago and can you believe my cars head gasket blew, in for around $1500 in repairs. I could just SCREAM!!!!! Trying to get thru this month I had been sick for the first 10 days including my birthday. Sure hope this streak is over!

aawww I am sorry to hear that! That is never a cheap repair. I hope you feel better soon too

We're at Palo Friday night... hardest part will be not having that glass of wine... but maybe the bartender can create a Nojito for me (mojito minus the rum).

I have to go shopping for a dress for a wedding in early October - I hope I can make it work for the cruise.

I didn't do formal either, but I will dress up. I just don't know what I will wear yet!

I don't really have a choice since I live in Japan. Formal wear at 99% of the places here = fancy kimonos.
On top of that I am plus sized, so I can't wear any of the clothes here.
Ordering is a nightmare because most companies take FOREVER to ship here, and then what do I do if it comes right before I leave and it doesn't fit?
I sadly pretty much have to wait until I get to CA.

I am in the bigger girl section too. I hate shopping! I try on soooooo many thing and more often than not take 99% out because they don't fit right

I am so excited... We have our formals, Halloween costumes and Pirate outfits ready. Reservations made at Palo and wine picked out, 20 dollar corkage fee.. Can't beat that.
I have a feeling I will be over packed, but I like to think of it as being prepared and having options :-D

Not really. Just the formals and some more clothes for me. And the shoes for DD's Halloween costume, but that will be easy. She just needs black Mary Janes.
I was worried about my FE gifts but then I changed everything up and decided it may be more fun for everyone if I bought my stuff in Japan.

I feel like I can finally see the light at the end of the tunnel. We all have our formal wear, costumes, bathing suits ready to pack. I am half way done with the fe gifts. The fe is complete . Now it's the wait and anticipation of the main event. I am so excited. I have been on one cruise before. We took celebrity to Alaska. But Disney I have heard is out of this world. Has anyone been on both cruise lines. If so can you let me know your thoughts on both.

I would guess JP is a male - but Castmember02 will need to answer that question for sure.

I believe the 2 adults were 1 male and 1 female, but we will have to wait until Heather responds about that cabin.

How to handle latecomers now that FE list is closed:

On other sailings I've been on people typically made a couple of extras in case of latecomers; however, not everyone did and no one was required to. All latecomers were told they are welcome to participate by GIVING gifts and IF anyone had extras they would be included in getting gifts - but that it couldn't be guaranteed. For this sailing/FE list I need to know how those participating want to handle latecomers. I've already had a late-add request, so I need to know ASAP. Is anyone already making a couple of extras? Is everyone OK with telling latecomers they can give gifts and others will try to include them but that they can't expect something from everyone? Please let me know how you all want to proceed - again - I'm not even participating this time so I don't want to make the call without input from at least a couple of people. If at least a couple of people are making extras then I think this would work. Please let me know!
