I noticed him the first time we rode. I showed him to DH the second time we rode.

How cool! I will be there in a few days so I will look for him! Is it in the beginning of the ride or?:confused3

I find this sighting very strange. I hope someone can verify it, as "The Incredible Mr. Limpet" was a Warner Bros. film and as far as I know Disney does not own rights to this film. Hmmmm:confused3? :tink:

As someone said, it was a movie, part animated and part real life. Don Knotts is Mr. Limpet and he helped the Navy in WW2 as a fish. I loved that movie when I was little and haven't seen it in a long time. I didn't notice him in the ride though.

Mr. Limpet wears glasses. Was this fish wearing glasses?

This was one of my favorite movies when I was young. Don Knotts played the main character who loves fish and ended up turning into one when he falls into the water. He and his world is animation and the rest of the world is live. The story line takes place during the war.

It is a Warner Brother's movie as confirmed on IMDB. Hmmm....there must be a story there.

When you pass the "Cone Head" Arial in the Under the Sea part..
look at the wall behind you and this is who you will see.

I thought we have discussed this, but I can't find the thread so....

Yes, Mr. Limpett is in the Little Mermaid: Ariel's Undersea Adventure.

And yes, it was a Warner Bros. film.

However, the presence of Mr. Limpett in LMAUA should not be a giant surprise to any movie gurus out there. Why? Mr. Limpett made a guest appearance in the movie, "The Little Mermaid" in the "Under the Sea" scene that is recreated in LMAUA.

See him?

So, that leaves the question, "Why is Mr. Limpett in the movie?" First, remember that "The Little Mermaid" is the movie that has TONS of hidden easter eggs throughout the entire film. Mr. Limpett is yet another amongst the many. The best theory out there is that although "The Incredible Mr. Limpett" is a Warner Bros. film, Don Knotts did quite a bit of work with the Walt Disney Company and Limpett, being a fish, was worked into "The Little Mermaid" film as a hidden tribute to Don Knotts.

Yes. I am a huge Don Knotts fan and this is a favorite movie. I also saw him in the Little Mermaid movie too.

You will only see him for a short time before the clam she turns left. He is near the end of the Under the Sea song in the "U" shaped room. He will be to your right.

Well I didn't see a thread on this before we left or I would have looked for him. Wish I had known. We went on it 2 times this trip. I'll have to look for him next summer I guess.
