MR January 29 2012- Who's in?

We only booked about 50 days ago but it has been torture! I have almost everything ready for the christmas surprise. Balloons, count down calendar, magnet making kits, shirts. It should be awesome!

As this is our first cruise I added the fe water shoes, pirate costumes, and am interested in the magnet what's in your kit

Can't wait to tell them Saturday:santa:

My wife got all the supplies but we have some scrapbook paper, disney stickers and a few other things. We will let the kids decorate them and we will cut it out and get it laminated. Then put some magnets on them for the door.

I also have some door magnets that we will print up with their nicknames.

I love that some of you are keeping the cruise a Christmas surprise... we did that last year. We packed and gift wrapped (in Disney paper)a box in a box in a box etc... the biggest box was a washer box!! It was taller that my girls!! We added small clues in each layer... nautical themed rubber duckies, notepads with anchors on them, sunscreen and lots of stuff that would give a small hint. in the last box we had a Mickey and Minnie doll with a a letter that said "Pack your bags... you are headed to Disneyland AND then the Mexican Riviera aboard the Disney Wonder!!" My kids were so shocked. I cried like a baby :)

I actually made some fake tickets .. stating Master Tierney you are going to Disney Cruise ... in a disney box .. a family member already gave them each disney bucks and the younger one was super stocked and the older one thought it was fake money ... can't wait until they realize how they get to use it

Cruise docs came in the mail today

Merry Christmas to me!

And Merry Christmas to all of you. :santa: Hope Santa is good to you :goodvibes

WHAT? Oh my goodness...:banana::banana::banana::banana:

That is fantastic you got your docs! Now, besides waiting for the Fed Ex driver and the UPS driver for the gifts I bought for CHRISTMAS...every time I see the trucks I'll be hoping it's my documents! :)

Lucky!!! Our docs go to our travel agent first so that she can check them over. And right now she is in Hawaii with her family so I'm thinking I won't see ours for a few weeks yet :(
December has flown by so fast it seems like my countdown clock changes by 2's... but I know once January its it will feel like it moves at 1/2 speed. I am so excited its crazy!!!:yay::yay:

yeah we're in the same boat. hahaha... or docs go to the TA first. Will be after the holidays before we get anything.

Same here, got the DCL Cruise Booklet today. All is set to go for my family--Air-check; transportation-check; excursions-check etc... Hoping that the weather in Toronto will be nice when we leave on the 29thJan2012. So far I have not seen a drop of snow and wondering that Mother Nature might be reserving it for a full blast in Jan.2012. Hope noooottttttt.
Happy Holidays to all!!!!

Congrats to those doing the cruise doc. dance:banana::banana:

I finally completed our online check in yesterday and printed out our docs. so we're dancing too:yay::yay::yay:

I just need to get us a hotel since we're coming in either late Thursday or early Friday, haven't decided that yet

I'm so excited

We also book Las Caletas (sp?) Has anyone else done this before? I'm not a water park person but hoping my son will have a good time

We're still not booked in a hotel yet either. I can't decide if I want to stay in Long Beach or, since we're spending two days in Santa Monica, stay there.

We are flying in a few days early so we're staying at the Comfort Inn in Long Beach. Looks like a decent place, on the transit line across the road from shopping. I think it will work well for us. Just trying to figure out if it's best to take a cab or supershuttle to the port. Any advice?

Are you flying in the day of the cruise? I hope the weather is good for you and all goes well. We are flying from Northern Alberta the day before, so we have 30 hours "just in case". We haven't really had winter yet here... +4 C and rain... Usually -20 and 2 meters of snow. I just bet Murphy's law will mean we get winter BIG time @ January 26!!

We are at the Doubletree for one night. There is a shuttle to port but if it looks too busy we will get a cab.

Yes, we're flying on the day of the cruise. We are expected to arrive in LA at 10:40am if all goes well. We're taking the super shuttle to the port. As I mentioned, Toronto has not experience a drop of snow as of Christmas Eve which is unlikely but hoping weather won't give it a blast of white stuff on the day that we leave.

I wonder if ours arrived. We are in Ontario for the holidays, hopefully they are waiting for us when we return.

Just over a month until we cruise!

yeah for everyone who is doing the "doc dance":banana::banana:

I keep looking on my porch. But I have been more concentrated on the xmas gifts coming Fed Ex, etc. and thankfully I got them all ! :cool1:

I'm really excited about an envelope on my tree my DH put there today. I already felt it and there was no gift card. I've been dropping hints of doing the Alone Time in the spa, spa, spa, spa, etc. That's all I will say. He's never done this before.

A recap, it's myself, my DD13, my mother with my Dnephew 5. He's very excited for us. Hoping, hoping, hoping....

We arrive the day before and catching the shuttle to the Doubletree.

Finally! We can talk to our kids about the cruise!!! Another person on the cruise called it "Freedom of Speech day"

The present with the balloons:

They were happy. I think they don't know what to expect so they didn't jump and scream. I think when we go on the next cruise they will be more excited.

Calendar is up and already has one day crossed off.
