Mr. Disney's EVERYTHING POP food court review!

Mister Disney said:
In closing, I must say, it was a lot of fun and quite the adventure to head over to POP's food court.

As we were leaving, I said to Kevin that I would definitely order the Breakfast Pizza again, next time we eat at POP and he looked at me like I had grown a second head and said "What do you mean NEXT time?!?!?!?" :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Oh my... (wiping tears from eyes from :lmao: so hard!!)

I could just quote and quote from your marvelous sense of humor, as well as your great perspective on life!! Thank you for taking the time, and for sharing the magic of Disney... esp at Pop!!

and I was hoping after seeing the picture of the applesauce, when I saw the pic of the cheesecake... oh please let me see a pic of the blue tongue!! WHAT??!! NO BLUE tongue!! drat!! :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

:wizard:

I am guessing it is a good thing that Kevin is easy going. You drag him on some memorable adventures!
YES Kevin is a VERY good boy....maybe I should start refering to him as my DS?
:goodvibes :goodvibes :goodvibes

But what did you think of the sausage? Personally, I thought jackskellingtonsgirl put it perfectly as "sausage puck." Mine was dried out, tasteless, though not bad dunked in fake maple syrup.

Next time you go ( :rolleyes1 ) you should try the veggie frittata. Surprisingly tasty.

Thankyou Thankyou Thankyou :worship: :worship: :worship:
I Loved it. I was working all day and for some reason laboring women do not appreciate it if you use the computer for the fetal monitor for DIS instead of watching their precious baby's heart beat. If they realized the benefit of laughter for pain relief, most would have read this a dozen times.
What a wonderful review and when I started reading the quote about the 5 mugs etc I almost fell of my seat. I am so slow that I got half way through before it connected that it was my quote. Of course then I laughed even harder when someone said that it described them. :rotfl2: I am glad that you have now had an experience you will probably never forget (or repeat). Maybe someday I will have the opportunity to upgrade and take a grand vacation with all the extras, but for now we will be value and occasionally mod because we spent all our money adopting our wonderful son, and I would stay in motel 6 for the rest of my life just to see his beautiful smile one more minute.
Sorry I got OT for a moment. Thanks again, it was a wonderful review and I can't wait to see the rest of the reviews. Are you going to review your massage??? I would love to hear that. I enjoy all your posts so much, thank you for the honor of feeling so included.

After we proceed to check out, we began the "search" for "our" table. Somehow, the cast members misplaced our ADR for a table. Row after row after table after table we pass, which are all being "held" with a diaper bag or a backpack etc. We wander, as we wonder "Will we ever find a table"?

To our dismay, Disney must have sprinkled some pixie dust pixiedust: pixiedust: on us, as we went outside and saw a table opening up! We rush the table like mad, in order to beat out that lady balancing 5 refillable mugs, pushing a stroller, dragging 3 kids under 6 who have eaten nothing but mickey bars and easter candy in the last 24 hours, and was repeating the phrase "stop touching that over and over". Sounds like this lady was going for the "full experience!", wouldn't you say PoohHappens? :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Finally after a drag down fight with this woman....Kevin and I ended up with a wonderful table outside on the lania of the POP Food Court, with a beautiful view of the "70's" icon building

Kevin ate the sausage pucks...and yes they do look like pucks....he said he liked them, but they just looked like dried up things to me.

Mister Disney, I think you deserve a guest spot in a judge's chair on The Iron Chef.

Great reviews! I'm looking forward to my first visit to POP in 17 days. I'll be on the lookout for that breakfast pizza.

Mister Disney I must agree with you on the Tie Dye Cheesecake. Everyday we stayed at the POP I would see the pic of it in the elevator. It looked soooooooo good. Finally on the last night there I decided to try it. I also wasn't impressed. To me, the cheese didn't have much flavor, neither did the red velvet cake bottom (I'm not sure what red velvet cake is supposed to taste like). But for me, a cheesecake with a "cake" bottom and not a crust was not good.

I want to try the Twinkie Taramisu, if anyone has any reviews for that.

For Dessert...yes dessert.....doesn't EVERYONE have dessert with breakfast?!?!?

We decided to try the POP's tie-died cheesecake

Lets just say it is NOT NY Style Cheesecake!

the bottom layer, which appears marroon in the picture is actually cake. In my mind, it is a strange combination for someone who is used to "crumb" bases to cheesecakes. Kevin and I had a lengthy discussion about the various colored layers of cheese cake and final ruling is that they do NOT have individual flavors. When we were tasting them, we thought maybe they did, but it was obvious that it was our minds playing tricks on us and we hadn't even been drinking yet! :drinking1 :drinking1

Overall? I didn't really care for it. I definitely didn't like the cake as the base, and the cheescake part of it, just wasn't creamy like I enjoy it. The cheescake part of it had a grainy texture.

Also, I expected the foodcoloring to change our tongue color, and it didn't! I was disappointed in that! I was expecting this to be a "kid" friendly sort of thing...and kids LOVE to have their tongues colored!

OH WELL, my loss....we had plenty of desserts to make up for it at Bistro de Paris this night before (food review still awaiting develoopment)!

I TOTALLY AGREE ON THIS! I love to disect foods and my discovery is that this is actually red velvet cake with multi-colored whipped icing on top. So much for CHEESECAKE! :confused3

Fab review ~ Thanx for sharing.

Lovely piccies.

I am so dissapointed in you, :lmao: Mr. Disney - you neglected to mention the scrumptious coffee!

Scrumptious Coffee? :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

WHERE?

Everywhere you turn, there's Nescafe!

POP12.JPG

The only place I've had good coffee on property is at V&A's. Mister Disney dumped a truck load of PD over us back during the Food & Wine Festival and it still didn't work trying to get the V&A's coffee for me in the morning.

Bless his loving heart ... he made special arrangements for our last trip to have my favorite coffee in the room every morning. Chock Full o" Nuts, the Heavenly Coffee. Can't think of a better way to wake up! Mister Disney and Chock Full O' Nuts!!!! :lovestruc  :lovestruc
