I guess things will go from being way to overbooked and overbusy to just booked and busy.:music: . How many days a week are you going to volunteer at school? Once Sam is off to school, and it is just 2 kids..WOW think of the time you will have to do other things..:rotfl2:

What grade is your son in now? Won't the college searching thing start up again for him??

kadaten how are things at your end?? How was the move? Do you like living in Tampa area and getting a FL resident AP?

Well, back to work for me for awhile... TTFN

BTW where is Deadheadbelle ?

No! Of course not. ;) Actually, mid life crisis aside, he likes Vans because of his bunions.

BWaaahhhhaaaahhaaaa :rotfl2: :rotfl2: Yeah, cool Guy!!! :rotfl: Oh man, we're all getting sooo old! :guilty: .

Good morning old folks!!! :p How's geriatic life today??? MY back aches, my knees hurts and my muscles are killin me from going to the gym this week - ONE FRIGGIN DAY!

llebrekniT - have fun this weekend, even though its a mini retreat. I like staying in hotels - any hotels. Its super fun to me. We're off to here: (Tanglewood) We're going to an all Mozart concert saturday night. I am excited. Its late for us to be going in the season. We usually would have been several times by now.

cheeringmom - let me know what you plan to do with yor time. I am trying to imagine what I will be doing every day while the kids are in school. I want to begin doing stained glass again, or work on some other type of craft project - not SCRAPPING as everyone does that. I want to do something I am good at and that can make some money potentially. My mother and I craft a lot.

Congrats!!!!! :cool1: Its like a mini retirement!!!! Well, until 3:00 every day at least.

Is it time for geriatric check in? I guess that would be me! Which reminds me....I forgot to use a senior discount at the movies Tuesday night. Darn, $2 down the drain! Saw Wedding Crashers.....a MUST for Vince V. fans ::yes::

Waiting patiently for DHB to check in and give her DL trip report.

Please distribute :wizard:  and :worship: too all in need!

Where is CADSMOM??? princess:

TTFN buds
Here she is! :Pinkbounc

Congrats to all the kindergarten moms and cool shoe wearers alike! :cool1:

I'm feeling kinda out of place here as I don't have a kindergartner nor do I own a pair of VANS... :confused3 ...but I'm definitely feeling old, so I guess I definitely do belong :earboy2:

 ...with that said, let me just add that not only do we have the coolest shoe-wearing dudes on this thread but also the best crop of new kindergartners to emerge since the year 2000 when guess who filled that roll ;) :p

QOTD: And speaking of "guess who", I have a QOTD for ya....look at this picture and try to guess what they're doing to my Jordan

f2f7b588.jpg

BTW, he is away at camp right now and this was posted last night on the camp's website...my mom saw this picture and TOTALLY got the wrong impression...called me this morning freaking out...it was too funny :rotfl2:

NO FAIR!!! I can't play!!! :( Is Jordan doing 8 weeks or 4? :boat: I'm tellin ya, that is the supery duperiest camp ever! I love the idea of having a way to heck in every night and the fact hat they journal is soo cool.

 I'll join the crowd, Bradley starts 1/2 day every day in Sept., Tiffany is a Sophomore in HS this year. princess:

 right back at ya!!!

Hey, I was just reading an article - while eating my juicy fatty black angus burger from the caf here at my desk - about children and humor (my kids are funny and love to laugh which I guess is a really good thing developmental wise) and they had these jokes in the article to use when you get sick of your child's same joke over and over again - usually happens at age 4-5 they said. So here goes, (I am only doing this because I actually found these to be funny and laughed out loud with a mouth full of burger):

What days are the strongest? Saturday and Sunday. The rest are ''weak" days.

Who are the most overweight superheroes? Fat Man and Blobbin.

Why did the skeleton cross the road? No guts.

Why did the elephant take toilet paper to the party? Because he's a party pooper. ( I laughed the hardest at this one :rotfl2: )

:rotfl2:

I guess that Jordon is getting his face painted???

Well, the move wasn't the best we've had :( LOTS of mix-ups, they lost some of our stuff, and broke a bit, too. The delays cost us all our unpacking time without kids, so we still have a LOT of stuff in boxes....maybe 1/3 to 1/2 still all boxed up. Ugh. And I have company coming sometime between Aug. 10-25. Well, at least I got the guest room unpacked! Dining room, office, and craft room are all still boxed, and we still have lots of improvements to do....hang wall-length shelves in the kids' rooms, crown moulding in Walt's room, paint the office, hallway, living/breakfast/kitchen, master bed/bath, and powder room. Ugh! Can we just say the landscaping will be waiting until next year?!?

But, we love the area :) Spend lots of time at the neighborhood pools and splash park.....the kids have gone from pasty white to golden tanned :sunny: Right now, though, it's too hot to be outside much of the day, unless you are in the pool! School started Monday and that's going good. Just got to find a dance studio and gym for activities....

Oh, and the FL AP? We've had those continuously for 9 years now :teeth: Since we're military, we maintain FL residency no matter where we live! But they are getting a much better workout these days! Spent the first 2 Saturdays the kids were here at WDW, then the next weekend, went up for a 5-day stay for Walt's birthday! :earsboy: And then the next Saturday were there again....this time with Walt using his first AP for the first time! We *may* have to skip this weekend, though...the chores are piling up! :( But I know noone feels sorry for me.... :teeth:

OMG...that's my kids to a T! Their current favorites:
What's a goose in a parking lot say?
HONK!

Knock, knock!
Who's there?
Abbie!
Abbie who?
Abbie stung me on the nose! (A bee stung me on the nose...)

Funny, yes, but 162 times a day?!?

We like elephant jokes around here...
Why did the elephant paint his toenails red?
So he could hide in a cherry tree!

How do you know the elephant has been in the fridge?
You see his footprints in the butter!

Why did the elephant sit on the marshmallow?
So he wouldn't fall in the hot chocolate!

he he he...

:rotfl2:

OK I am ready for a 4-5 yo. I will be in stitches right along with them.

Oh, and

We *may* have to skip this weekend, though...the chores are piling up! :( But I know noone feels sorry for me....

sing it sista!!!
I'm pretty sure the vioins aren't tuning up for me right now either.

DHB's son is going to be starting that soon too. She's a bit worried that she'll miss him too much. Absence makes the heart grow fonder though, right?

So what do you do with yourself all day while she's away?
morning all. I was also in Hog Heaven yesterday. Went shopping, out to lunch and went to see Willie Wonka. As much as I would love to do this daily, I'm sure I'll be stuck at home doing "stuff"

I plan to volunteer one time at week at each of the kids schools and one day at the base doing something. I haven't had an owc meeting yet to see what is available. Plus I plan to get skinny. Yep, going back to the gym. Being over 40 it is tough to lose the weight! Some of you youngins take my word for it and stay in shape!!
Tom is in the 10th grade now. He had his first Xcountry meeting yesterday. Not too fond of the coach but he will survive. He did like school though

You go girl. I like to scrap but am not all that great at it. Crafts will definatley keep you busy if you plan on making some money. People really don't realize the work that is put into crafts and they want them for next to nothing. I love craft shows. I can find the best gifts!

Going out to luch with Sam and a neighbor today. I really should be working but.....NAH!!

Real quick bus story. I was waiting for Lauren to get off the bus and when she didn't I asked the driver where she was because I saw all the kindergarteners sitting in the first rows so very quietly. I got on the bus and started calling her name and she was running from seat to seat in the back of the bus. The driver mentioned that she will try and keep Lauren up front with all the other K kids!! Yeah right. Now that Lauren has a taste of the back of the bus-good luck!!

Good day all!

Cheeringmom
cheergirls.gif
soundlike you are back to your usual over booked self. :scratchinWhy did I think that Tom was a year older ??? Maybe it is my over 40 genes, I must be getting senile :rotfl2:

Well I am working from home today, and trying to get some laundry done. Once Geoff gets home tonight around midnight
2.gif
I know I will have 2 1/2 weeks worth of dirty laundry..

So it is Eric's last night of being an only child.. I was thinking that after he gets home from football practice
10.gif
maybe we can do something..

BTW, Eric would not let me take a picture of him in full uniform yesterday so i could share it with you:sad1:

Oh well back to work.. TTFN

Actually absolutely nothing except making money from it. I am straying into digital scrapping now. People are making lots of money from that. I am more interested in doing it that way. I have a proficiency in Photo Shop - but not a skill yet. I need lots more free time to be able to fully get into it. I am very intrigued right now, though. Its more me. YOu are much more free to really creat beautiful works of art with very little dollars - less time picking up tons of adornments for each page. Much of what you use in digital scrapping can be used over and over again.

MOrnin everyone - I am jammed today. Talk to you all soon.

Geffric - Cognos. PM me if you need more info as we use something else, less powerful for direct mailings. Good talking to you too!!

Daniel has changed so much in the last year! I can't believe when I look at pictures of him from last summer.

Nope, not a lock-in. We're going in the evening because the crowd thins out by then. Also, DH has to work 1/2 day today.

And it sounds like to me you need to do a sneak attack with the camera. ::yes:: I want to see the kid in a football uniform! I have a really cute one of Daniel when he was, hmmm, maybe 7 or 8. The uniform swallowed him up. I love that picture.

Castlegazer! I think I forgot to tell you this. I looked at that link you sent me re: the place where you go to make dinners for the week??? Anyway, it is AWESOME and you need to do this. AND you need to do this HERE, where I live, k?

I have a question. When did this little guy :pug: get here? That's my dog!

Morning All!

:rolleyes1 Waiting patiently for DHB to check in.......wanna hear about the trip!

Hey, it Friday! And Payday! I finally had my annual review, so I'll have a month's worth of retroactive pay raise (not much) and some overtime in today's paycheck. Whatever amount is over and above my old/regular pay gets set aside for Disneyland dining at the end of the month. Have a couple of 'new' dining experiences on my list:

Hook's Point
Naples @ DTD for a slice of pizza
Redd Rockets in Tomorrowland for a big salad
Taste Pilots @ DCA for a burger and fixins
and a return lunchtime visit to Ariels @DCA, but this time with the Princesses!
CAN'T FIND THE PRINCESS SMILIE!!

OK, time is up....must hit the shower. Have a great day everyone!
