MR BACK's Back!

Good morning all! :sunny:

Castlegazer :goodvibes You simply amaze me. You work, have two small children, take great weekend getaways and still have time to find all these cool websites and do cool crafty things....where do you find the energy...what's your secret???? :confused3

Cheeringmom Good for Lauren...that girl has caught on already ::yes:: When does school actually start for Tom and when does Sam leave for college...alot going on in your house these days...have fun at lunch :teeth:

llebrekniT Love the aquarium pic...ya'll look great...why have you never posted it before? ...was wondering where the two yungins were before I realized it was taken pre-Ella and Lainie :earboy2:

Geffric I agree with the KY girl, ya gotta sneak up on em with the camera...after 10 yrs of posing, Jordan's not going for it anymore either :p And I'm sure you're happy Geoff is coming home tonight, not happy to do all that laundry though :scared: I'm leaving in a bit to pick up Jordan from camp today and I'm sure he'll have plenty dirty clothes for me too :crazy2:

Answer to yesterday's QOTD: They were getting Jordan ready for fencing....UNGUARD!!!!
 (Jordan is on the right)

my husband fenced in college - How cool Jordan is!!! Oh and by the way, have I mentioned that I am insane??? Just kidding. I actually don't know how we do it all.

llebrekniT - yeah, its sooo cool. I would totally use it if it were closer to me here and I could find the time to take and go make the dinners and find someone to go with me and find the money to pay for it and find enough of the meals that appealed to me and find enough freezer space and, and, and, and.... yeah, anyways...... I'll let you know when I get enough capital to do this - right now everything goes out the window for my second mortgage payment, i.e. day care.

Hey, gotta talk about renting points with anyone willing to talk to me. I only need a deminimus amount, like less than 20 for one week night over at VWL in April 2006. Anyone interested??????

Castlegazer! I think I forgot to tell you this. I looked at that link you sent me re: the place where you go to make dinners for the week??? Anyway, it is AWESOME and you need to do this. AND you need to do this HERE, where I live, k?

I have a question. When did this little guy :pug: get here? That's my dog!
Cute doggie, llebrekniT!

May I ask....was that site by chance something like "Now We're Cookin'..."? I just saw an ad for it in our paper....supposed to be opening soon. Has anyone done this before?

There are lots of folks renting over on the DVC rent/trade board :)
And didn't DHB and llebrekniT have someone they rented from once or twice that they could recommend?

That's why I am asking for help with this - I think they can help. geffric has already given me some advice too. Thanks geffric  If I end up not being able to find anyone here who I "know" I will post over there for help.

We were talking about dream dinners - but there are tons of competing companies popping up all over the place. Are you going to go and check it out??? I really think this is the business for me. It takes a ton of capital, though as does any franchise or entrepeneur business. I don't know if it a flash in the pan too which worries me some, but by the time I get around to being able to finance this shift in careers I'll know 'cause its a long, long ways off.

Well, I will when they open...but that's 6-8 weeks away the lady says. I *did* just check out their website....it's pricey, but it sure would be nice to have stuff in the freezer ready to go some nights! Wouldn't use it for an every night kind of things...gosh no! .....but do it'd make a nice "safety net" 'cause goodness knows the eat out/carry out places nearby are pretty slim pickins! It said $200 for 12 dinners....so about $17/dinner. That's less than it costs us to eat out (unless it's kids eat free night).....and there would be left-overs. Sounds intriguing...

SO, when will this big career shift occur??? Sounds exciting, even if it is far off. What other things are you considering? Me, I'd love to own a Coldstone Creamery franchise....MMMMMmmmm.....but the product while it may be good for the bottom line isn't good for my back side :rotfl2: so I should probably avoid that one!

I don't know. I keep thinking I want to do something completely different - more of my artistic side rather than my financial side of my brain. I am done with office life - this is my first job where I am stuck in an office all day long (I choose not to travel because of my kids). But all my previous jobs have been ones where I get out into the community on a daily basis. I don't want to work full time when the kids get to school age - about two more years from now. So I am in the process of struggling through redefining what I will be doing for the rest of my life - not to say that staying at home and working on being a great Mommy wouldn't be enough. I just will need to help stabalize us with some work and income.

I love cooking - I love crafting - I love socializing - I am adept at diplomacy and negotiations - I'm good on computers - and I know real estate inside and out. I just don't know what I want to to do when I grow up! :guilty:

Hi everyone,

Been busy at work...

Cheeringmom, you go girl! Way to stay busy...

I am glad that they found the stuff that they lost; I had a friend who rented a truck to move herself across the country, when they parked for the night the whole trailer was stolen. ALL of her furniture and posessions...

castlegazer, RRBB made some stained glass for our front window... that stuff can be quite cool...

Oh well, I wonder what happened to poor Deadheadbelle. She must be suffering from Disney Withdrawel...

Gotta Go...
:jumping2:

Well, at least you're on the path to deciding! It does sound like that business would combine a lot of the things you love to do....

I don't know what I want to be when I grow up either! Got 2-3 more years before the kids are in school full-time so I got a while to decide, too. I know I want to be home when they get home and when they are off for breaks...which would mean being in a school would be ideal. And I have my degree in education.... But honestly, I don't think I want to teach at all :confused3 Hopefully something perfect will come down the pike by then....

Why thank you, I'll have another. ;)
I must say, I knew it from the outfit and the mask on the guy behind him. It's really a big thing here at ND. I guess one of the girls got like second in the Olympics or something last year (?) and she got into it at the school. I didn't know it was that big, really. I do, however, think it looks cool as long as no one gets hurt. :teeth:

DH always gets the slip on, old school kind. I like yours. Very cute!

The ones I got him for Father's Day were the old school slip ons with this print

ARE YOU KIDDING ME??? I only had to read 6 messages from Friday!!!

OK Everyone, what is happening?????

Goodmorning. We had a great weeekend. The highlight for my son was him riding his new big boy bike with training wheels and learning how to brake. He had a blast. We had a good time at Tanglewood and seeing my mother. Overall, an OK weekend - not as great as the last one up in Maine because it just felt more hectic and we ran into a ton of traffic coming home so we had no time at home at all, but it was good nonetheless.

Lewski, is Tye better?

Kadaten, sound like you and I need to put our heads together. Its like having a pre-midlife crisis.

hey deadheadbelle!! hurry up and get back over here!!:teeth: ive missed you, along with my fellow wild girl!!:teeth: plus, i have music you should check out:rotfl:. its a finnish band called H.I.M. theyre AWESOME!! i bought "and love said no, greatest hits", and it only cost $30.00. its really good!!:teeth:

Hi everyove!!!!!

castlegazer, I replied to your PM, I think I can help...

oddball27, I agree, Deadheadbelle, we want a trip report!!!!!!

kadaten, how are things??? Any new Nail Polish colors I should suggest to RRBB for our upcoming trip to SDS???

NC Belle, edcrbnsoul, I made a tentative PS for 10/24 at Ohanna's (12 people)...
edcrbnsoul: 4 Adults and 2 Children
NC Belle: 2 Adults
Us : 2 adults and 1 infant
(I miscounted when I made the ressie, so there is an extra)

Anybody else want to join in???
:jumping2:

Happy Monday all!

Castlegazer Another great weekend...kudos to your son's new braking skills! With all this talk of crafting, etc..., I'm entering you, Cheeringmom and Kadaten in the Martha Stewart contest ::yes::

:boat: All you 2006 Disney cruisers need to change dates to join us on our cruise!
We had a blast last Jan with fellow DISers we met on the boards and I was looking forward to another great one....but quite frankly, the group traveling with us next Feb just doesn't sound like much fun at all...in fact, it's totally bumming me out. But I'm fair and impartial so I'll give it a few more months before I decide whether or not to boot them off our ship :p ;) pirate:
