MR BACK's Back!

Good morning!

Castlegazer! I get it now. (The smilie). Very funny. :rotfl2: Your weekend sounds like it was out of this world wonderful! Did you have a nanny along with you? How did you pull all this off? I want to know ALL your secrets.... :rolleyes1

Oddball, you and Daniel are in the same boat, so to speak. This is his first year in public middle school. There were 20 kids in his entire 7th grade class last year, the school he's going to this year has 990 enrolled in 6th - 8th! :worried: He's never had to change classes or have a locker or any of that. :upsidedow He doesn't know ANY of the teachers, nada! But, really, as if he cares about teachers. :teeth:

Oh and what about all those boy-crazy girls! What do I do about them? :confused3

But back to you. I think you are a social butterfly and, as Castlegazer put it, you should spread your wings and fly!!! I know you will be just fine and can't wait to get the first day's report of who's HOT and who's NOT. Is Aycock still going AWOL?

Tell my future daughter that I miss her TONS and I will send her an email. I will, I will, I will. I promise. ::yes::

We are heading to the mall in a bit. Daniel and Holly are getting their hairs trimmed up for school. They both need shoes, Daniel needs shorts and Ella needs a cookie I bet. ;)

Oh, I like McDonald's fries better. But I REALLY like Backyard Burger fries. Mmmm, mmmm, mmmm.

My secret is that the two places we "weekend" at - to sound like a true Hamptoner - are both infested with Grandparents. We go to the Berkshires where my Mom and sister and brother-in-law are thus allowing us time after the kids go to bed (my Mom is not up to taking care of both kids for a long period of time) to go out with some friends I still have back home or go out with my sister and BIL for drinks or music - we also can take the kids to Tanglewood, the summer home of th Boston Symphony Orchestra (an outdoor pavilion with beautiful grounds you can sit in to listen to the music). When we go to Maine its up to my In-Laws beach house a block from the beach. My mother-in-law is our normal baby-sitter so she is adept at taking care of the kids - plus we went out when they were napping so its was doubly easy. Summers kinda stink baby-sitting wise for us because my in-laws are up in Maine now full time. So its always a huge treat to be able to get up there and go out.

Now you can see why I had to take a day off from work to do the deep cleaning stuff to my house - we are away most weekends.

Morning

Umm Looks like we found another PP princess: in CASTLEGAZER! Sounds like a great weekend. We didn't do anything! ugh

Glad you are home GEFFRIC. I wish I would have know you were going to Six Flags. I would have steered you towards Kings Dominion. Gross story. I had Lauren in the wave pool. It was gross, bandaids floating around etc. But couldn't get her out of it until I saw something floating towards me it was someones hair piece! aaaacckkkkkkk TOTALLY GROSSED ME OUT!!!!!!!

ok now I just gaged myself. Anyway, have fun at the mall TB. I'm off to the base for a few erands. TTFN

oh poor daniel!! that's what im worried will happen to me. maybe it wont....but if i had to change schools, i'd end up at a school that's as HUGE as that one!!! actually, its bigger. :earseek: i remember being SO nervous going from 6th grade to the HS building because of lockers and finding teachers and such, lol!! but i already KINDA knew where everything was because our school is K-12, so i saw teachers in their rooms sometimes like when i ran errands. i was still scared though, lol!! and about classes, the biggest class ive had{just one class, not the whole grade put together} was probably 26 people in 6th grade. the biggest my entire grade class has been is 51 people. and i LOVE it this way, i enjoy knowing EVERYONE at my school, even all of the elementary students!!:teeth:

you could always scare them by saying daniel has some kind of disease:rotfl:!! lol, i really cant help you there, seeing as im one of those myself:teeth:. and im sure it doesnt help that daniel's so cute, lol!! sorry!!:teeth:

i hope it'll be cool. its so odd, the new building is maybe ten feet away from where our old building was last year:teeth: but ive never had a tour of it{heather, alan, and i checked in the day they had tours}. same people, new teachers, and a new building, lol. its gonna be crazy!! well im sure the same people that were hot last year will be this year and the not ones will be the same. i wish we could get some new hot guys!!:teeth: as far as i know, he's not coming back. crazy person, liking military school.

i will!!

woo i got new shoes in atlanta last week....theyre pink, black, and white vans and i love them!! theyre the newest ones. so pretty!!!:teeth: i got LOTS of school clothes too!! some advice, whenever holly gets old enough that she likes stores like abercrombie and such, if she's tall like heather and i are, take her to aeropostale!! that's almost the only place heather and i can find pants that are long enough. :teeth: i know youve got a way to go, and she may not even get tall, but if she does, go there!!:teeth: i bought four pairs of school pants from there{one chocolate brown(my favorite!!), some lighter khaki, and one kind of an inbetween}!! and i got the cutest pants from wet seal for school...theyre khaki and theyre destroyed, but its pretty the way they are!! but like you care about my stupid uniform clothes, lol!!of course ella needs a cookie!!:teeth:

Hey kadaten? Would you be willing to hired for some T-shirt duty again??? I am thinking cruise wear for our cruise in a whopping 9 months. - but nevertheless, thinking ahead.

Hey Lewski - I've got somethin for you (you'll have to fight the chocolatesisters for it)!

Aha! You are one lucky duck! Sounds absolutely wonderful. We don't have relatives living anywhere that's fun to visit. :sad2: Lucky princess: ! Yep, it fits you well. ::yes::

He's already worried about how he'll find his next class, thinks he will be perpetually lost in the BIG school. I can't wait to find out who's in his classes, he's gonna need to buddy up with an ol' pro who's been doing this for a while. A boy one, OF COURSE!! No wild girlz for my baby boy. :sad2:

As for Holly, she's not showing any signs of being tall. In fact, she turned 8 back in April and still wears mainly size 6, although she's finally being able to wear some 7's. She's kinda on the petite side. Ella is another story. She is two and needs size 5 in many things. So I have two girls, almost 6 YEARS apart and only a size or two apart in clothes! :scratchin One of them is definetly a FREAK o' nature.

The trip to the mall was insane! But Daniel got 3 pairs of shorts and two pairs of pants. So that part was a success. His hair stylist was 35 minutes late - not good.

Um, Ok. Why? Why? Why - is this for Lewski? What about ME!!!!????? You need to give me something good too.::yes::

Pop one in the oven, babe, and you will get one too! :p

ELLA IS A SIZE 5!!!!!

That is monstrous! My super sized son - 3 yo - is wearing 4T, but he can't wear the shorts because he's too skinny and apparently they don't think any boy will be potty trained by this time so the damn shorts fall right off of him - so he is back down in 2T shorts waist wise. BUt has to wear 4T pants - go figure that one out  My son is in the 97% percentile for height too.

Wait a sec...did you just say Geoff was only 14? :confused3 I could've sworn he was older than that...he really looks older....how old is Eric? They must be closer in age than I thought :scratchin
That boy can put down some PIZZA! ::yes::

I am partial to Burger King fries since they turned them into nuclear time bombs for your heart - i.e. coated them for extra krispy crunchiness when fried.
YLK! I think we need a poll. I HATE BK fries, not that I eat them often. McDonalds then Arby's curly fries, YUM.

I'd be willing :) Luckily you don't need them any time soon, though....my craft room is still in boxes! Ugh. And I think when I dropped off the face of the DIS back in the winter, I might have left some folks hanging. Guess I better start diggin' in my old PM's and see if anyone else is still interested.

But, before you decide, you should check out this thread.

There are a couple of AMAZINGLY talented people over there designing shirts for people...or rather, designing graphics for them to use as iron-on transfers.... I see more designs I'd like than days I'll spend in the park in the next year...and I live here now!!! There's a fabulous 3-D Mickey head MidNite did for the cruise.....

But I will be HAPPY to do some shirts for you and your family, too!!!

Good morning all. Yep in a good mood today. I'm off to Kindergarden orientation this am. We need school to start soooooo bad!! yipee :cheer2: :cheer2:

School officially starts tomorrow. Both kids are so ready. They are bored. No kids in the neighborhood. Bummer.

Any big plans for the weekend? Sam is quitting her job. They promised her a car hop slot after 3 days of training but since she was only going to work for 4 weeks, they hired a new girl and started her car hopping. Sam was not a happy camper. She said that was a lame excuse and they promised after the first week she would hop. She has been there 3 full weeks and still working fountain. So she said Bye Bye-liars (I added the last part!!) The 2 hrs she did car hop last week she made $25 in tips. She said being up to her pits in fountain drinks and ice cream was not the way to go. So I will have my oldest home all week next week while the other two are in school. Hooray!!

Off to get dressed for orientation. Did I say I was happy???? hehehe I'll be the only mom NOT crying dropping off her little one at school!!!

Morning...

I can relate cheeringmom when I dropped my last one off for Kindergartern.. I felt misty for 30 seconds, then YIPPEE!!! and my budget was sooooo happy not to pay full time day care..

Um, Ok. If you're going to put it that way, then I'll pass. :teeth: I can get my own cake. :teeth: Thanks anyway.

Ella wears a five in pajamas, shirts, dresses and swim suits. She wears a four in pants and shorts. She is two-1/2 years old and is 38 inches tall and wears about 36 pounds. She's a BIG girl all right. ::yes:: Last time we went to the doctor she was 95% in height and 80th in weight, but that was when she had GERD. I think the weight and height are closer to even now.
