Since Belle introduced herself - I"ll go ahead and introduce myself.
I'm 36, and have been DISing since Feb 2004. I'm always on the CB, and I have daily poll (maybe you've seen them). I am a mother of 2 beautiful girls, I'm married to a wonderful man who is a volunteer fireman, I own a custom picture frame store, and I have no pets (but would like to someday).

Hello. Okay, this thread began awhile back when some Disers that were once more active wanted to have their own thread away from the Tagliarchy thread...but, there are some hard feelings involved so let us skip to the present. As time past...this thread has evolved into a daily chat between Slo, Geffric, me, and anyone else who wants to talk. We are a positive bunch of people.

Edit: Wow, I just read the early days of this thread---no wonder that you were a bit confused. Now I'm missing some past participants.

I guess I give a brief intro of myself. I'm 35, married (NC Beast, 37, occasionally he comes on to chat), no kids yet, 1 dog--- 5.5 year old female Lab. mix, and has a trip to WDW in 2 weeks. I have been a DISer since Jan. 2004. I hang out mostly on the CB, but I chat/lurk on the other boards. I have been listening to the Podcast since its beginning last year.

Belle.. it is a shame that you and beast live so far away.. 'cause you could come over from dinner at my house.. .. I am having DH's family on Thursday.. and cooking and baking up many, many things..

Do you have to do everything by youself, or do your in-laws bring some food items? My mom and my MIL always bring food so I don't have to do everything

I do everything..No IL, and SIL ( DH's brother) is a wonderful person but she thinks that opening a package is good.. so she is bringing the ranch dressing ( which we don't like but she does) , gravy ( I don't make this or like it so she brings a jar which makes her family happy) and some wine. They used to stop at Bakers Square and get a pie but since Eric's band is selling cheesecakes.. i'll have all the desserts covered... DH's sister doesn't bring anything if they show up..His aunt lives near Eli's cheesecake factory and brings a cheesecake..

So I do the rest.. which is okay since I like to do a nice meal.. I make the same dinner every year.. have asked all about other things and they all want the same thing year after year.. I make

Turkey,fruit type Stuffing, pumpkin casserole, le cellier cream cheese pototes, salad, strawberry banana jello mold, reg veggies, corn bread, pumpkin bread, cranberry bread, regular bread from the bread machine. sweet pototes and corn pudding...

Intro.. I am much older and have 2 teenage boys at home.. one is a junior and the other is a freshman.. I sell software ( data mining), have a cat. And own at OKW ( DVC)

Wow, you make quite a feast all by yourself - that's alot of work!!!!!!

My MIL is bringing the mashed potatoes and a salad
My mom is bringing a ham (my uncle doesn't eat turkey), the stuffing, and a dessert
Kevin makes the turkey
I make the sweet potatoes, corn pudding, green bean casserole, pumpkin pie
Whoever has a chance heats up the rolls

I can't believe it's almost here. I'm not sure if I should be happy or nervous (I haven't bought a thing yet ).

I can't believe this is the weekend before Thanksgiving - where does the time go!!!!

I can't believe even more, that this time next week, I'm going to have my Christmas tree up downstairs Time sure flies!!!!!

Well, Kevin is already gone to try and get Stephanie's Wii - I hope he's successful (fingers crossed). The kid at Game Stop told him to be there at 7am today, but I forgot, and he didn't leave the house until 7:15am - thank goodness it's a stone throw away - I'll give you the Wii update later.


Yesterday was a wonderful day
All the food was wonderful, and the company was great - a very nice day!!!!


Today I will be going into work for awhile, and then I was to start getting the Christmas decorations out. Kevin and I were chuckling last night because after I cleaned up the table, I brought out the Christmas runner out and put it on the table, and I said to Kevin, "Merry Christmas, Thanksgivings over!" It gave us a little laugh
