The parents are enjoying the visit. We went around the area---train tunnels, scenic routes,lunch out).

NC Beast's mom got us a cookbook from a small train museum.

I'm glad everyone got along well, but it's to bad about your FIL Stephanie sat on my scaitic (I'll spell it the same as you, because I don't know either) the whole time I was pregnant with her, and it was very painful. I hope he gets better soon

FIL has an appointment on Friday to get it checked out.

MIL gave me some blessed in the Holy Land ornaments.

I learnt an important lesson for the next road trip...


chocolate candy like fun size Snickers and 3 Muskteer bars will melt inside a purse/waist pack ...plus the temp. in the car was too warm.

NC Beast still ate the bars when it started to solidify again.

The maritini & wine bar in my plaza is having their soft opening today, and Kevin and I were invited. Were going to go check it out after we're closed. I can't drink, but that's okay, I already told them to get some nonalcoholic wine for behind the bar

We have no plans for Thanksgiving. NC B. has the day off and works the next day then almost 3 weeks off. I'm making a simple holiday meal and not sure what yet---waiting to check out the sales.

You should just get an easy turkey breast to heat up, and Stove Top Stuffing - that's what I would do if it was just the 2 of us. You'll have a nice relaxing holiday

Belle.. it is a shame that you and beast live so far away.. 'cause you could come over from dinner at my house.. .. I am having DH's family on Thursday.. and cooking and baking up many, many things..

Hello. Okay, this thread began awhile back when some Disers that were once more active wanted to have their own thread away from the Tagliarchy thread...but, there are some hard feelings involved so let us skip to the present. As time past...this thread has evolved into a daily chat between Slo, Geffric, me, and anyone else who wants to talk. We are a positive bunch of people.

Edit: Wow, I just read the early days of this thread---no wonder that you were a bit confused. Now I'm missing some past participants.

I guess I give a brief intro of myself. I'm 35, married (NC Beast, 37, occasionally he comes on to chat), no kids yet, 1 dog--- 5.5 year old female Lab. mix, and has a trip to WDW in 2 weeks. I have been a DISer since Jan. 2004. I hang out mostly on the CB, but I chat/lurk on the other boards. I have been listening to the Podcast since its beginning last year.
