MR BACK's Back!

SLO - congrats on your booking a cruise! Yipee for you. This will be my first, not sure if you've had one or not. But God knows you will have a good time. I cannot believe we only have 5 months left... 25 weeks at ibouncetoo's last count to me yesterday. All I can think about these days are the experiences I'm going to have - mostly on my mind are the dolphins. A lifetime dream come true!

I may not come home!

Thanks for the congrats!!! :)

This will actually be my 4th cruise - I love cruises!!! My Grandma took me on my first cruise when I was 17 years old - it was a Royal Caribbean cruise. Then my Grandma gave Kevin and I a cruise for our honeymoon, it was our wedding present from her - also a Royal Caribbean cruise. Then about 8 years ago our franchise had there conference on a Norweigen cruise line ship, so I went on that with my 2 bosses.

I'm really looking forward to this one though, because it will be such a fun cruise  The other cruises were nice, but they are a little more serious. I need to have FUN!!!! :cool1:

I can hardly wait to hear about your guys cruise after you come home. You are going to have a blast!!!! :cool1:

I'm back from the camping trip.. I painted outhouses, picked up tree branches, worked on the fire pit, shoveled dirt and walked and walk... the weather held out for us , it did not t-storm - some sprinkles and rain but it didn't last very long - a bit cold at night but other than that the weather was good and a lot of work was done. Now the camp is in much better shape for the campers ..

Now i have real work.:rotfl2: laundry, cleaning, grocery shopping et al..

talk later..

Good Monday morning everyone!!! :surfweb:

Today I have my Neurologist appt to get the results of my bloodtest and that EMG test I had. I gotta tell ya - I'm a little nervous to hear these results. My physical therapist also said that she will suggest to him about me having an MRI done on my neck - so we'll talk about that today too.

Have a good day everyone!!!

Slo, good luck and let us know. Congrats on booking too. I booked 18 months out and it was very worth it. I saved alot of money and got to know a lot of great people who we cruised with, who now are life long friends and some are clients now too.

You have sooo much to learn, young jedi. :darth:

We had a cat 6, balcony, with my wee ones (1 & 4), and it was awesome! Just to warn you, this was the only thing that made the cruise worthwhile with wee ones. I could not have done it without that balcony and I would have truly hated the experience without it. I mean, really - hated it. We were able to sit out there in the afternoons with a bottle of wine while the kids slept, we were able to be out there to see (fireworks were spectacular from our starboard balcony) and hear the pirate party and watch movies or just read while the kids slept at night, and we were able to feel like we had an enormous room because of all the light - they have the best wall of windows in any line I have been on. It is absolutely stunning floor to ceiling windows.

If your kids will be out of naps at that point, and able to stay up in the clubs, a porthole will be just fine! But, it's totally safe with kids and a balcony. I even let my daughter, 1, crawl out there, and come back and forth while we were getting ready. We kept the chairs away from the rails and were always with them when they were out there, but it added a lot to the room for them. There is absolutely no way they can get the doors open on their own.

As for joining the meet thread - watch out, it's addicting. We had a superb group of people - some 70 or so - on our cruise. We had brunch together in hte private room at Palo, did the tastings together, linked dining with like families, had parties in the suites together, and just had friends everywhere we turned on the cruise. But we also were all able to be separate also. It was GREAT! So definately join in and have fun for the next year and a half!

Lewski, tell iluvtink I know she's the resident travel agent and she and I can commiserate on low income, great bennies together. It's my way of not having to buy into DVC, but to also help people and do what I love to do. I'm not giving up the real paying job just yet.

NCBelle, get that resume back up and ship shape. You never know.

Good morning everyone!!! :surfweb:

My test results at the Neurologist were all good :woohoo: My EMG test showed that I have carpotunnel in both hands, but I can live with that. I was nervous about having a nerve problem in my hands, but I don't. My blood work showed that I don't have Rheumotoid Arthritis or Lupus :woohoo: and my cholestrol is 164 which is an added bonus :yay: He said that I have Raynauds Syndrome not Raynauds Disease. The Disease is caused by very serious problems like the Rheumotoid Arthritis or Lupus. The Syndrome is often caused by unknown things, it's a mystery :confused3 . He's not concerned about my circulation at this point, so he told me to worry.

After we talked about that, we started talking about my headaches and neck pain. He told me that since I feel the physical therapy is not working, he wanted me to have an MRI. This is done in his main office and they were able to fit me in last night, so I went. That went really well, and really fast, it only took 15 minutes :thumbsup2 I took in my Epcot Illuminations/Tapestry of Nations CD to listen to while I was in this tube, and I barely heard it, because the MRI IS SO LOUD!!!!!! I was expecting to lay down and relax for awhile, but no way :sad2: , the first sound almost made me jump out of my skin it was so loud:eek: Oh well, now I know, there's no relaxing during an MRI

With the results of this MRI I will find out if I should continue going to physical therapy, or if I need to have treatment done at a Pain Management place. The treatment would be a shot of something in the neck that goes right into the spine :scared1: The shot doesn't scare me, but the fact that it goes into my spine does :faint: I guess we'll soon fine out.

castlegazer - Thanks for the congrats!!! I do have alot to learn ::yes:: I have been on 3 other cruises, but I have learned that all cruises are not created equal :sad2: They have fireworks?? I had to idea - that's awesome!!!! Do they have music just like at WDW?? My kids will be so happy :yay: I will add you to my list of people that I can ask questions too :teeth:

Well, I gotta run - have a good day everyone!!!!

Good Wednesday morning everyone!!!

Good morning everyone!!! :surfweb:

This is my last day of work for the week and then I have a 4 day weekend :woohoo:

Today I get some of my MRI results from the Physical therapist - I'll let you all know what she says.

Have a good day!!!

I too have a four day weekend - taking my DH up north to cooler weather and a lovely train ride! Get to see bald eagels, etc. Can't wait, we need a trip together. Have a great day everyone!

Good morning and TGIF!!! :cool1:

TiggersPal - Have a great time with your DH this weekend :) . Let us know how your trip was when you return.

Have a good day everyone!!!

OK, as I was telling geffric, I finished the College of Disney Knowledge and am all set up with Kingdom Magic Vacation (you all should check out their web site, it's very, very good as are they).

So everyone, please think of me when booking. I also transfer Disney bookings over and provide all the bells and whistles of a full service travel agent then.

OK - that's the most illegal post I have done in a long time. Enough pushing the DIS board guidelines for me.

I am heading to Maine later today for Memorial Day weekend. I am very excited! But as is the norm when traveling to Maine for the weekend, we have huge bags because we have one side with beach wear, and then one side with sweats and jackets. You just never know.

Peggy Jo - I know this is going to sound odd... but let me know what the bathrooms are like on the train. My DH keeps talking about making the trip... but I don't want to do it if the trains are potty free. I think that is a recipe for disaster with the kids.

Okay---which Value resort should we pick if we commit to Sept. Free dining (most likely 6 or 7 nights)?
All Star Music, Movies, Sports, or Pop (even though we had a negative experience last year)
I'm going to find out if we can upgrade after 6/4 if we feel more comfortable in the budget.

Good Saturday morning everyone!!! :sunny:

Kevin put the stairs in the pool yesterday which means that summer has officially began. With the weather being so nice around here, we may just go swimming tomorrow :cool1:

I don't know how I missed you finishing the College of Disney Knowledge   I wanted to tell you congratulations :cheer2: I'm sure you will be very happy doing this!!!!

Have a fun and safe trip to Maine this weekend. I hope you get to use the beach wear bag :sunny: , and don't have to use the sweats and jackets bag :cold: Let us know how your trip was when you get home.

Have a good Saturday to all!!!!

Hi. It's JACKIE checking in from Peg's house.

NCBelle I'd go with ASMovies or POP. Movies over the other two because it usually has it's own bus. I've had only good experiences at POP and it would be my first choice.

Castlegazer, CONGRATULATIONS!

Peg checked in last night and they arrived safe and sound in Jerome....she thinks her room may be haunted. :scared1: There are supposedly lots of ghosts at this hotel.

I'm leaning towards Pop since our second room was clean, no pests, and mousekeeping didn't use our toliet or at least flushed (I know--- it was yucky in the first room/second night).

Well tell her to tell the ghosts to go toward the light if they are too bothersome and throw some salt in the corners of the room. I got this from watching Sylvia Browne's episode last year on the Montel Show. I don't really watch the shows unless I'm totally bored.

NCB I agree with Jackie, I'd do POP just cause it has it's own bus and it is cheaper..I have been there 4 times and never had a bad experience ( yet)..

Eric is off with friend for the weekend in Galena and DH and Geoff are watchng some creepy, movie. I am sitting outside surfing on one of my neighbors DSL .. summer and laptops are so nice..
