Things are status quo here... Eric has finals this week and then next week they watch movies at school. Geoff has finals next week.

he has lots of pressure 'cause he decided not to turn in his homework this quarter and got 0's.. so his grades aren't what they should be and he will get kicked out of acc classes if he doesn't get an A on the finals.
This weekend was supposed to be a camping weekend but the boys are just scouted out and no one signed up, so the trip was cancelled. At least Geoff will have an entire weekend to study for finals.

The weather here is supposed to be nice and not 100 degress, so DH and I will be on yard duty - cutting, trimming, shaping and pulling weeds.

She was so excited to see your messages that she was smiling from ear to ear I told her, "Isn't it nice to know that people from different areas of the country that you don't know are thinking about you?" She said, "It is so nice!!!" and giggled - she is to cute!!!!

talked to hubby last night. he is not in Kuwait (sp). he is just sitting around hoping an airplane will come and pick up him and his troops.

And of course I have a terrible cold. Go figure. Off to the races

Happy Anniversary Sandy & Kevin...hope you have a wonderful celebration. WHICH restaurant are you going to...this former Chicagoan needs to know (Is it Wildfire?)

I've been e-mailing a 'picture of the day' to my boss' daughters, as they are going to WDW for the first time on June 18th. I've been of doing a 'pictoral tour' kind of thing and am having trouble collecting pictures for/of MGM, so if you guys have any, let's see them! I also need an idea for the final picture (which will be sent to them on Father's Day). The only idea I've come up with is a shot of just Mickey (or Mickey & Minnie) waving....so I can do a "Can't wait to meet you" kind of caption. Any suggestions? I did post on the Theme parks 'picture of the day' thread, and some folks are digging out MGM pics for me.

Well, one thing I've been doing to get ready for my cruise is dieting....11 pounds so far...YEAH ME! Just gotta get going on the exercise portion of this plan.

Good Sunday morning everyone!!!!

What a beautiful day it is going to be today!!! We are going to spend the entire day outside. I have many, many, many weeds to pull, and many, many leaves to pull out from under the bushes. It will be a busy day!!! But that's okay, the yard always looks so good after I'm done

Our anniversary was very nice yesterday Kevin and I went to a restaurant called Wildfire in downtown Chicago and I ate way to much. I have come to the conclusion that I am a foodaholoic When I have good food, I just can't stop eating
So this is what I had:
Appetizer (we shared) - spinich and artichoke fondue
Dinner - 10oz filet w/ blue cheese crust, mashed potatoes, and then we also ordered a bowl of large mushroom caps (we shared the mushrooms).
Desert (we shared) - ice cream sandwichs done up all fancy
I definitly ate to much - but I couldn't help it It was all so good
Walking around downtown was very nice too - beautiful night for it!!!

Thanks to everyone for the Happy Anniversary wishes for Kevin and I - I really appreciate it!!!

Good Monday morning!!!!

This is what I have to say this morning: OMG I am so sore!!!! I woke up and could barely move. My hands hurt so bad, it's hard for me to type We were outside all day yesterday and I chopped and cut and picked up so many branches and leaves that it was unbelievable!!!! The yard does look so much nicer, but holy cow, I'm really paying for it today!!!

The kids had a great day outside all day too I bought a new picnic blanket from Target, and they ate lunch on it outside. Which was nice, because then I could keep working while they ate lunch. After being outside all day, Katie was so tired that she went to bed at 6:20pm. I gave her a shower and she said, "I want to go to bed." I said, "Don't you want to eat supper first?" She said, "No, I want to go to bed." and she started to cry . So, I put her in bed, and she fell asleep in a matter of minutes. Poor thing was exhausted!!!!

This is Stephanie's last day of school today, and she is very excited!!!! Even though she has to go to summer school for a month, it's going to be nice not having to make her race to catch the bus everyday.

It's the Democratic Convention here in MA. We have a hotly contested Gubernatorial race this year. I have been a delegate for 12 years. This year I whipped for our Mayor also who is running for Lt. Governor. He is a friend of mine and I helped him in my old home town to gain votes out there.

OF likes to talk politics with me. Thought he'd get a kick out of my 15 minutes of celebrity fame in the news.

It's my day off today, and I am still waking up at the crack of dawn - what's wrong with me I actually enjoy the morning time - it's nice and quite around the house

Today is Stephanie's first day off and she is going to a pool party. She is very excited!!!! It should be alot of fun!!!

Then tonight, Stephanie has her last soccer game I really enjoyed her playing soccer. I'm already looking forward to next spring

Hello everyone! Long time no see!

....so much to catch up on....

Our home computer finally died mid-May and didn't want to rush out for a new one because ex-hubby promised Jordan a brand spanking new one if he made all A's this semester and guess what.....ALL A's.....YIPPEE!!! School got out last Fri but flew Jordan to Huntsville, AL on Sat for SpaceCamp so won't get the new computer til this weekend....I'm typing this from our local library...thank goodness for free access

Geffric You crack me up... "teened, crabby and full of 'tude crew"...bwaahaaha...I'm starting to see it around here too. Glad you made it thru your camping trip unscathed...and good luck with the last week of school...those exams are killer Jordan's at Aviation Challenge Mach II...sound familiar?
...oh, and STILL haven't tasted Mayan chocolate...Haagan Daz is such a tease!

And sorry about your cruise but I PROMISE you will love it when your kids are older. I think Jordan was almost 6 when we first went and we had a blast. Of course that was back in the dark ages when the ship was not full and therefore very few lines for characters and such. It's gotten a bit more crowded with it's popularity but since he's not into autographs anymore, luckily we haven't had to deal with the lines. And with so many things going on onboard and with a different crowd every cruise, each year has been completely different and a new adventure in its own way...even at age 12, Jordan is still looking forward to the next one and I couldn't be happier And speaking of, congrats on your new position...being a PDS must come with great benefits...I wish you well!

slo Happy Belated Anniversary and congrats on Stephanie's first goal AND you booked your first Disney Cruise....that's awesome!

My big news is I'm leaving on a 9 Day cruise next week!
Yep, joining a group of buddies for the inaugural sailing of the Crown Princess out of NYC. Martha Stewart is the ship's "godmother" and will be there for the christening ceremony. Not really much of a Martha fan but should be interesting.
