HAPPY BIRTHDAY CADSMOM!

Tinkbackwards - what the hell, I go away and you come back - should I read anything into this????? :confused3

It was a great vacation. I don't think, though, that at this point in my kids lives that I would pick a DCL cruise over the parks. I am about Disney'd out after that cruise - the lines, the kids, the people. But I did love it. My desk is swaying right now - I haven't gotten my land legs yet. We had huge swells that made the trip really rocky.

I especially loved Palo, our verandah where we had a bottle of wine every day while the kids slept, and the time with the kids. I love St. Maarten and I thoroughly enjoyed St. Thomas and our time at Coki Beach.

I didn't like the lines every night for autographs, pictures, dinner, the shows, getting off the ship, anything - we que'd for everything. I know you British love that stuff, danauk, but for me, it stunk. We gave up after about day three. I also didn't like not having a 24 hour buffet. It became a real issue with trying to feed Catrina one night that we wanted to hit dinner prior to the early show because My husband and I had spa reservations and Palo later in the evening but I didn't want the kids to miss Disney Dreams. Our sailing was a rare sailing without matinees due to training a new cast. I was almost panicked trying to find milk for Catrina for her evening in Flounders - it was near impossible to find any without ordering and therefore waiting for room service at 6 pm at night.

But really, it was very enjoyable and I loved the food although I was prepared not to be that impressed. I thought the ship was beautiful and it was fun! We had a great time in the islands and I have to say nothing anywhere rivals Castaway Cay - holy beautiful and perfect. I am still sunburnt from it on Friday. AWESOME!!!!! Konk Koolers are my new favorite drink in the world!
Awww...thanks so much for the birthday wishes :goodvibes

:teeth: Enjoying wine on your private balcony and dining at Palo's sounds heavenly! Glad you enjoyed your cruise and looking forward to a trip report...so did you visit Maho Bay and watch the planes land? Hurry up and get that cruise report done, inquiring minds wanna know!! :rolleyes1

Tinkbackwards. there you are. I have been thinking of you!! Glad you are back and cheking in. Where is your SIL???

Yep, got 7 stitches on my finger. I was such a klutz. Sam says woman and machinery do not mix!! hehe

Cadsmom, please before I help move your Prada bags, remove your ax's and weapons. My finger is still sore and I do not want to over work it!! :teeth:
:rotfl2: Thanks and will do...guess we learned the hard way to keep sharp items away from the skinny chick ;)

I just had a post and it deleted....ugh!

Anyhow, CG welcome back and glad you had a good trip. Tell us about conk koolers. I tried a Mojito at a Cuban place and loved it. I don't blame you on queuing...ylk.

Cadburysmom happy belated. Just think, you are a year prettier and wiser. It's like earning stripes. Oh and thanks about me and Brynn but I am afraid I've got a lot of work to do before being in tip top shape again. She's a really good baby though and it's going to kill me in 3 weeks when I'm forced to return to the dungeon.

llebrekniT What the ???? God love her. :thumbsup2

slo seems I am always a day late and a dollar short. I wish I could capture more Kodak moments, but seems I don't have the camera when I need it. Sounds like my Tye. He always wants to read to me and poor thing hasn't a clue, but he enjoys making it up as he goes along. :)

Well, I have to say......my trip was terrific. The only thing I didn't do that I wanted to was eat at Crystal Palace. I love that place. Oh...and if I could have, I'd have loved for all you pretties to be there too. Some day, some day. Mad4Mickey finally got to meet me. ;) She's a hoot and I am glad I got to give her a great big hug! CmomI hugged her for you too.

NC can you come over and make me a pretty garden too??? I think I'd like a small pond, woman made, as well. :teeth:

geffric those chocolates looks YUM. Since my pregnancy with Brynn, I've found a new love for chocolates in my tummy. Not a bunch, but an appreciation for sure!

I figured you would want some photos, so here you are:

Lewski These pictures are GREAT and ya'll are looking better than ever! Looks like you guys had a blast, soooo wish I coulda been there. Not only have I NOT yet met Mad4Mickey but I wanna cuddle that sweet baby too...Brynn is friggin adorable and that Abbie is cuter than ever! ::yes::

slo I too will be there in Sept/Oct and be meeting up with Mad4Mickey again, as long as my 3 year old gets potty trained. Anyhow, I've got the reservations right now.

NC why would you not go with the free dining? :confused3 OKW was nice, but there is no discount that can beat the dining. I was waiting for the free dining to plan our trip this year. ::yes:: For our family, it saves about 600 plus.

geffric I'll pass on the Chi meet this time. I really enjoyed meeting you! We made it a weekend last time by spending the next day at the Shedd.

We liked being at BWV during Wilma last year because we had a mini fridge and interior hallways (we should had bought the frozen dinners and goodies from the Screen Door the night before). NC Beast wants to stay as long as possible so that his point in doing value again---debating ASMU or ASMO vs. Pop. I want a bit shorter stay at CSR. Jessie's kennel cost around $20-25 a night plus spa experiences ($20ish for bath & pedicure...more if we go for wraps). I think in the next several weeks we will finally commit.

So I hear there are pics of me around here ??

: )

It was a blast but I wish I had more time to cuddle the baby . Her mom was alright I guess LOL

SLo and I shall meet up in Oct and if LewLew is nice to us we will let her be with us : )

Now what will WDW do with all of us being there at the same time ??? The world could colapse

oh really now?

geffric I'd much rather drive and meet just you for lunch. I was uncomfortable at the last meet, so was my husband and that's sooooooooo not him. He'll talk to anyone, anytime and about anything and everyone always likes him. Not sure what it was, maybe it was us?? :confused3

Look Lew you know I lubs ya but I am all about the baby LOL

Hmmmm. I bet you can find another newer baby someplace on the DIS....would that be the same? I'm crushed you know. :guilty:

Morning all :yay: SLO!!

Welcome back CG. Sounds like you had a nice time. It was interesting to see your take on the cruise. Give me some things to think about before we take one!!

Lew, loved the pics. Thanks for posting. Brynn is just too adorable. But watch out for MAD she may take her back to TX with her!!! Looks like you all had fun. Was that Kadaten???

Next week after school lets out, we are heading out to VA to our old home and see all of our friends. The kids are so excitied. But I am dreading the drive. When we return it shouldn't be long till hubby comes home!!

Cadsmom, how was your bday?

off to start the day.

WOW your school are out next week?? CMOM.. that is early, maybe not for FL, but... WOW.. my kids don't get out of school until June 9th.

QOTD when does your school get out for summer break??

As I just said, our school district gets out on June 9th.

Anyway.. morning!! I am off to newark NJ for a few days for a seminar. I'll check back later before my flight..

Too early IMO. They go back the 3rd or 4th of August. Too hot for the kids to return. Esp the kids who do sports. Tom runs 10-15 miles at the heat of the day-after school-in August. I would like for school to end the middle of June and return the end of august. So much better.

off to start the day and get the lil one off to school :woohoo:

:scared1:

Our cross country team has summer school work out stuff that starts at 6 am.Even when school first starts again, mid August, they run at 6 am. They won't run after school until September.

Morning all! castlegazer are you going to do a trip report? I can't get enough of those.

Lewski love the pics, got any more?

Mad4, aren't you planning a cruise, or did I just dream that?

QOTD, sorry, can't answer that one. But I'd like to pose one of my own. Because this Sunday I can make my ADR for Boma the night before our cruise, we'll also need to decide what to do for breakfast the morning of the cruise. TiggersPal noticed SLO's Tonga Toast tag and is thinking she'd like to try that. It made me realize we could have breakfast ANYWERE we wanted outside of the parks. Since we probably won't be on the ship till 1:30 a nice breakfast would be a good idea. So, besides Boma, where would YOU want to have breakfast?

OK.....gotta go report in on my weightloss thread....actaually losing weight now instead of just talking about it! :thumbsup2

Yes that is Kadaten. :)

I've got more photos ibounce but downloading them to imagestation takes too long. I may do a couple more just for you.

I would eat at Crystal Palace, but I just love it there. We had ressies at Kona last April and didn't make it. I'd love to try it, only hear good things. Oh, Cape May has a good breakfast too. Oooooh another good one is HOB, if it's a Sunday, for the brunch. Mmmmmmmm. I don't think you can really go wrong, unless you do a counter service.

QOTD:
My son is out on 6/6 and returns 8/19, I believe. The time off is getting shorter and shorter, glad I am out of school. :lmao: It's just 10 weeks this year instead of 11.

Here's Kadaten and Brynn:

Geffric Safe travels...have fun in Newark! :thumbsup2

Cheeringmom :cake: Birthday was a good one...EXCEPT...stupid power company accidentally cut my phone line so noone could call in or out all day :( and to make matters worse, I left my cell phone in my dad's bag so no phone contacts whatsoever...luckily, my friends and family are pretty tenacious about giving me a hard time about getting OLD so they finally hunted me down and got in a good tease over the weekend :teeth: A trip to DC sounds wonderful...how long is the drive and good thing Sam is old enough to help out...oh, and Tom too...he's 17 right? :confused3

NC Belle Glad you're planning another trip to WDW...kinda surprised you would be willing to brave POP after your last stay there :scared:

Lewski More great pics...that Kadaten and BichonBarb look wonderful but darn them for getting to cuddle sweet, cute, adorable Brynn before me! ;)

QOTD: Jordan gets out June 2 and returns August 21...still to short of a summer for me. There's a big debate here about making all schools year-round instead of traditional...just curious, anyone else facing this too? :smooth:

Good morning everyone!!! :surfweb:

Cheeringmom - Have fun next week visiting your old friends - sounds like a great time!!!! :cool1:

geffric - Stephanie gets out of school about the same time as your DS. Her last day is June 6th. :thumbsup2

ibouncetoo - I do love my Tonga Toast  , so naturally I would suggest The Kona Cafe for breakfast. If you decide to go there, call and see if you can drive to The Poly instead of having to go to The Transportation Center for the monorail. If you can drive there, that would make eating there more convienent. What type of day are you there for breakfast? If you are there on a Sunday, the House of Blues is suppossed to have a fantastic brunch.

Lewski709 - Great pictures!!! :) Thanks for posting them!!!

cadburysmom - What a bummer that you couldn't get any happy b-day wishes on your birthday :guilty: . I'm glad your family still called you over the weekend :)

Well, I gotta run - have a good day everyone!!!
