yeah, this one is a toughy - added to it is now some family stuff too, Blah, blah, blah. Anyways - its why I don't plan vacations out 18 months as a habit.
:( Sorry about the family stuff... sure hope it isn't health related

Haven't seen it yet......been movie deprived due to major cold/flu/crud. I want to see it because of RUFUS !!! I'm also curious if the movie ends the way the legend does......badly for everyone (think Romeo & Juliet)....or if they make a 'romance movie' out of it.

LORDY....I loved the George Clooney, shot glass in the eye bit!
Ah George :lovestruc Yep, that man sure melts my butter ....and speaking of melting, you are so right about Rufus, drool, drool...it was nice seeing him NOT playing the villain for once, gotta love him...and although they hyped the movie as "Romeo and Juliet", to me it was more "Camelot"...I enjoyed it much more than I expected, the friend I saw it with said it was boring...can't wait to hear your opinion :)

DHB Nice to hear from you...good luck with the house and I loved "The Office" last night :teeth:

Lewski Hope you and your little "bun in the oven" are doing well! :goodvibes

Geffric :wave2:

NCBelle Animal Planet rocks! :teeth:

Busy week.....definitely ready for a break....So where the heck is everyone and does anybody have fun weekend plans? :confused3

Not doing much here...Jordan's got a basketball game tomorrow and working on his Science Fair Project...me, I just want to lay around and be lazy, watch old movies, eat lots and lose weight :bitelip:

Have a great weekend everyone!

 No fun plans here that I am aware of........

I should sort through my old clothes and stuff while NC Beast is at work tonight and some household stuff. We do have a grocery store shopping trip in the works.
I wished that I was trip planning---no real decent Dings yet (was hopping for Houston or San Antonio or SNA) and we got to wait after taxes. We are planning to plant trees this year and some new shrubbery.

Cheeringmom--- I got my fingers crossed for everything and sending you extra hugs  :grouphug: and pd. I just lost another great-aunt this month to cancer (my Dad's side---we were not real close...I'm not sure that NC Beast got to meet her back in 1997).

I was naughty this week on my meal planning--- NC Beast bought us some Mickey D's for lunch and a bag of snack-sized Hershey bars.

:guilty: I hope that y'all don't think my previous post was complaint about no new trips....
just a bit sad that no big trip to plan. We are just trying to stick with our budget so that we can do things to our yard/house this spring. I do think that we have road trips in the spring/summer---to visit family, but its not the same. I did try to come up with reasonable areas to maybe go in the future.....like Arizona/CA/Chicago <--- not on the same trip.
I have never seen a desert yet or go west of the Mississippi or seen the Pacific ocean.

Time for me to refuel!

Yeah! and good luck. Both my tests were good, though I will be having an outpacient procedure in the next couple of weeks...no biggie.....good drugs and a day off work. :rotfl2:

Cheeringmom great news.. What a relief! I was wondering how things were..
hoping that things for the second one turn out just as good..

ibouncetoo glad that your tests had good results too. Hopr that the procedure is quick, easy and painless ( is it related to the one last year?)

Well I am back... had a very busy week at work and the 'puter died and it took CTS 3 days to fix it.. But to give you a quick recap of the last week or so..
last weekend the boys scouts went Skiing. ( Yes DH went with so he spent our anniversay with the boys scouts). I went out to dinner to celebrate at a very nice resturant with friends of mine ( girls I am close with from high school and their husbands)
10.gif
But the real story for the rest of the weekend is this...

Geoff was skiing on Saturday with other scouts and they decided to ski the jumps.. he land the first one fine but the second one his skis flew off and he face planted.. Dh call me at 2:30 and told me that geoff had had an accident.. I was immediately going to drive up there and pick him up .. but was told by DH.. that he would be fine. I said call me in an hour.. at 3:30 i called them and both of them said he was ok and would take it easy that day but would be fine and skiing on Sunday..Call them before I left for dinner just to make sure.. yep everyone was fine and MOM was just a worry wort... Sunday at 7 am, DH called. Geoff had a very bad night up all night with pain ( did you give him some painkillers? HUH??) so he was gonna go home. I ws going to dirive and pick him up.. then Dh called back and said he would drive him home.. and BTW they would stop at the ER on the way..:scared1: Turns out that Geoff has a broken wrist. Then more of the story comes out took 2 hours to stop the bleeding in his mouth.:scared1: so Sunday was the ER and Monday was the dentist..His mouth and lips were so swollen that he could barely talk..

So that was the weekend...Took Geoff to the ortho surgeon on Thursday and he has another splint and then back in 10 days for more xrays and to see if he needs a cast..the teeth are another issue, his bottom teeth have moved.. but not cracked.. dentist will see when the swelling goes down, if he has other damage..and poor Geoff had finals on top of all that this week..

so I am home tonight for the first time all week and gonna ketchup..

OMG GEFFRIC> How horrible. Geoff must have a very high tolerance for pain. A broken wrist?????? Do you know if he broke a tooth?? I am so surprised the ski patrol did not call 911. And poor kids has finals. Bless his heart. Keep us updated

Belle, I will probably get blasted for this-well not on this thread-but there are other places to visit besides WDW. You will love the desert and the pacific ocean. I am from CA and thats where we used to vacation. Kudos to you!!

ibouunce, hugs to you. No outprocedure is "no biggie" as I found out yesterday. ugh. hang in there and keep us posted

CADSMOM, whats is up with you besides doing the "lose weight" bit. That is how I lose weight too!!

Lauren is doing a dance camp today! Hooray a few hours to spend with Tom!!

Tootles!

geffric, tell Geoff I said ":sad2: Boys!" (I think that comment is for your hubby too.) And that I send a  too!

I've had a 'spotty' week on the dietary front, some good meals, some not. At least I did keep my self to only one dessert ALL WEEK! Next I have to work on the french fry issue ::yes::

Geffric OMG! Poor Geoff and poor you! Which wrist did he break...is he right or left handed? :confused3 and can he eat solid foods? Poor kid...sending bucketloads of PD your way :guilty:

Ibouncetoo More tests?:scared: Is there something in the water around here? And I agree with Cmom, whether inpatient or outpatient, they're ALL biggies in my book :worried: got my fingers crossed for ya

Cheeringmom And speaking of, when do you expect to hear back about your 2nd set of tests? Seems the waiting is almost worse than the tests themselves, notice I said ALMOST :smooth: And have you heard from hubby since he left? Can't imagine how hard this is on you  Maybe later today, after you get some good mother-son time in, you can come over and join me in my "weight loss" program...I'm thinking a few good adult beverages might help us right along ;)

NCBelle No need to feel guilty at all...all those places sound wonderful...besides, you can always get your Disney fix while visiting California too :smickey:

Hi.. just checking in...

Cheeringmom no broken tooth and he survived finals.. now the boys have a 3 days weekend to relax.
14.gif
with the PS2 or XBOX .. When do you expect to here about the other tests??

Ibouncetoo :grouphug:

cadmomchocolatesista.. we need to think about breakfast plans for the us and the teenheartthobs in an few weeks..

NCBelle we aren't going to WDW this summer either.. Geoff is going to be at the Boy scout ranch in New Mexico that is north of Albuquerque for 2 weeks of high adventure and then 1 week of youth leadership training. So we are going to pick him up and visit Mesa Verde and other sites like that out there..

ok back to laundry...

I like them too Belle, but now I can't get to the second page of smilies. Even when I hit the control key with it. hmmmm. ugh. I hate computers. Geffric? any ideas??? :badpc:

Good morning everyone!! :surfweb:

I hope everyone is doing well her on the Mr. Back thread :)

I'm recovering from doing way to much overeating last night at The Weber Grill restaurant in downtown Chicago. We went to celebrate DH's birthday that was on Dec. 28th. It was a special occasion, so I felt that it would be okay if I overindulged ;)

Have a good Sunday everyone!!!

slo I want a full report.. we have never been to the Weber grill and I am thinking that on our belated anniversary dinner that we could go... what is goodand best??

Hi..

Cheeringmom Not sure what could be the 'puter issues.. maybe it has to do with your cookies... Did you eat them all? :rotfl2:

where do I sign up? :rotfl2: I'm glad you are doing well.

cheeringmom, WOO HOO! I hope test 2 was good also.

geffric, HOLY HELL!! I'm so glad he's OK. How scary. Poor kid. I hope he has been enjoying the long weekend.

ibounce & castlegazer, what did you think of Lost last week? Pretty good, huh? I love that show!!!

NCBelle, I hear ya on the lack of trip planning. I had hoped to go to WDW during Spring Break, but DH can't be off work that week since the main dude is off & he's in charge while he's gone, so I don't know when we'll be taking a trip. He did win a "weekend getaway" package (no airfare, just 2 weekend nights at a hotel), I'm looking into a few different places. I'm hoping my favorite band, Widespread Panic, does a spring tour & we can go somewhere & see a couple shows.

Guess what??? We have footers!!! Woo Hoo! Hopefully by the end of the week we'll have walls. I took bunch of pictures yesterday, but haven't downloaded them yet. When I do, I'll post 'em.

:cool1:
