MR BACK's Back!

Howdy all,

I must say that Since Ian has decided that food is supposed to go in the mouth, but can make a detour to the floor...Well, We clean our Kitchen floor after every meal.....

:jumping2:

:guilty: Not me. You can find sandwhich pieces from yesterday under Catrina's high chair right now. Wish I had a dog.

Good morning everyone!!

I thought I would check in while I was waiting for Katie to finish her breakfast. I was browsing through and I saw this:

Lewski So how did the gift grab go? Did SLO show up?

And I said, "what was I invited to?"

Then I saw this:

slo if you lived close enough, I'm having a gift grab tomorrow. Love to have you join a buncha goils and meet you. We could really make Mad4Mickey jealous.

Thank you so much for inviting me and I'm sorry I didn't respond back to your post. I didn't check back after I posted that day and I didn't see this until now. A gift grab sounds like tons of fun!!! Thanks again for thinking of me and I hope it went well!!! :flower:

Well, Kate is now done with her toast which means we gotta run - have a good Wednesday everyone!!

Grab went well. Lots of fun, about 12 gabby ladies. T'was not a good day for most. Next year, I'll have it a week earlier so people can't claim they have Christmas stuff the weekend of Thanksgiving. ;)

Cleaning...spotless. I keep it spotless. Well, mostly. I don't like mess or clutter. If it's not clean, the door is closed so I can't see it (laundry room). Also, we have a toy room separate from all other living areas. While I don't make much of a fuss about how clean it is, I can't help but going over to peek at times. My kids are then made to clean up or it gets thrown out or locked away. I'm very mean. :) I used to have a housekeeper, but since we moved I couldn't keep her and she had some quirks I didn't like anyhow.

cadburysmom nice looking doggie. I'm sure you needed one another. Anyone looking for an English Bulldog, snipped with papers???? Oh castlegazer you wanting the dog? He's not a drooler, loves kids, potty trained, 3yrs old and very nice. He's living in the garage.

I LOVE giftwrapping too. I'm a professional. Send all the gifts my way, I'll help you out. Probably in more ways than one. ;)

alright all you A-type ladies - you're driving me nuts here.

My wrapping style - wrap it up and hope there's no holes - if there are, a little patch job will do the trick.

I used to love doing the :Tootsie Roll Wrap", or the "Hershey Kiss" wrap...

:jumping2:

Kadaten, lets face it, you are mom extrodinaire!(sp) Yep, the decorations, the shopping, shall I go on?? I am impressed! And I would come over to your house right now and have breakfast on your floor. You can FIND breakfast on my floor from Thanksgiving day!!!

CG I love yor picture too! Sorry you are so cold. Come and visit Kadaten and me! Its not too bad here. We are freezing at around 50ish!!
Um, you must have me confused with my MIL! I'm the one that posted the "I don't clean the house" poem! ::yes:: It's true! Now shopping QUEEN, I will own up to that role. Just this morning I picked up items to make a little Christmas tree to send to my mom since she's not well enought to put one up this year. Also Thomas the Tank Engine starter set for 40% off for my godson (thank you, Michael's coupons!). Decorating....well, that I do, but it would look so much better if it were in a clean, uncluttered house! Oh well....it's just not me.
And to be quite truthful, I just vacuumed under the table this morning. :scared:  :scared1:

Yes, I say come visit us! It's 67º and I'm wearing a sweater! :teeth:
Except I won't be there this weekend....going back to Chesapeake for a funeral (DH's grandmother who he and the kids went to see every weekend in the nursing home the last year we lived in VA). :(

::yes:: That is ACTUALLY on my list of reasons to get one!

cheeringmom What kind of thing you headed to? I always loved the formals, but I think I was the only one. I just love a reason to get all dolled up, 'cause otherwise I live in my jeans. Hope you have a great time! :)

Ok...note to self. If Lewski's in town, offer to meet her somewhere! She will NOT like the house! :faint: I don't think the word "spotless" is allowed within 100 ft. of my home and I am a clutter Queen!

But I'm with you on the gift-wrapping! :teeth: Every gift must be wonderfully wrapped. I buy ribbon all year so that every package has a beautiful bow on top. 90% of them are fabric bows, but I do a few "curly ribbon" type on gift bags....but those are few and far between. I just LOVE a perfectly wrapped package! One year I did quilling to make ornaments for the top, one year I tatted everyone's initials for their gift tag, one year I beaded initials for gift tags..... If you see it in a magazine about wrapping Christmas gifts, I've probably tried it or earmarked the page to try it next year :) LIke I said, I love pretty packages :)

QOTD: All family gifts are wrapped. Santa wraps some (in Santa paper only....which I do not use, of course) but several are left unwrapped so they make a nice presentation on Christmas morning. See below:

So this is your Morgan?

We hope to be home tomorrow. It looks like a good size snow for VA and DC.
:dog: Yes, that is our sweet Morgan. When we first got her, she weighed in at a hefty 99 lbs but with twice daily walks and some healthy food, has since slimmed down to a trim 87 :goodvibes Glad you made it home safely but did ya have to bring the frosty weather with you? :cold: ;)

Geffric ...and speaking of cold, at 12 degrees, you DEFINITELY win the prize!

Castlegazer Yes, a dog is AWESOME for children, especially for babies around dinnertime. :dog: Our chocolate lab used to dance around the house whenever I put Jordan in the high chair, just knowing of the delicious tidbits she'd be allowed to lick off the floor, and later off him when he'd finally finished. That dog could lick my boy clean in no time flat...clothes and all, and he'd laugh and giggle while she did it.... I'd just throw him directly in the tub, run a quick mop over the floor and voila! Baby and kitchen clean as a whistle :teeth:

Lewski Glad the grab went well  (....now say that three times fast) :smooth: Spotless cleaner, huh? Better give me at least a week's notice before you come a'knocking sister...the piles and dustbunnies round here would blow you away! :faint:

Kadaten Love the pics...you are definitely the Christmas decorating queen! princess:

Cheeringmom Going to a formal, are we? :snooty: So whatcha' wearing and can I come too???? :bitelip:

QOTD: Santa gifts are unwrapped...easier to distinguish between those and the regular ones::yes::

Cadburysmom-- our back deck and our whole yard was heavily covered by frost by the time got home. Jessie was upset that there was no snow at home.

I have plenty of short stories...for example that NC Beast forgot that his first on-site stay was Ft. Wilderness in the 70s (when Space Mountain was still considered a new ride).

ummm no pictures! ugh. I hated my dress. I looked like I was stuffed inside a stocking that was way too small for me! ugh Kadaten, it was an ALS graduation. Pete had a guy that went thru the school and we were there to cheer him on.

Kadaten, I LOVE the way you match your wratpping paper. How cute is that. Ms Martha Stewart! But LEW sounds like she is in the running for the MS Martha title. I only wish I had time to clean house- shhh I really do but am way too lazy.

CG you are the funniest! I loved your quote"I wish I had a dog" that made me laugh so hard. You are too cute!

CADSMOM, watch out you don't wast e away walking Morgan!!! Lucky you!

Geffric and BELLE whats shaking ladies??? :cool1:

Off to get ready for the day. Be good all :cheer2:

:dog2: I bet Jessie absolutely LOVED romping around in the snow! Do you have any pics? I'd bet they'd make a GREAT Christmas card. We got a card last year with a cute black lab wearing an ENORMOUS red bow standing in the snow...that puppy was having a blast and you just knew that big ol' bow would be chewed off in no time flat :rotfl2:

:earseek: Don't tempt me, woman! :smooth: I just might take you up on that!. Bad enough I've got a 10-day hopper still waiting at will-call from when I had to cancel last Nov :( but I've got a stack of unaddressed, unstamped Christmas cards to send out, not to mention gifts to wrap and Christmas cookies to bake
24.gif
....Jordan's liable to wake up to find his mom has run off and left him and then the police would be called and you and I would be arrested and all our chocolate would be taken away and they wouldn't let us primp before taking our mug shot photos and you'd lose your job and I'd go to jail and we would probably miss our respective holidays with our families....but worst of all....

I'd NEVER get to use that daggum 10-day HOPPER!!!!! :p :Pinkbounc

:goodvibes That was very sweet of you and hated your dress? :confused3 I'm betting you looked gorgeous and were the best looking woman there....with a tiny belly and nice hair of course! ::yes::

Our camera is almost totally broken and I have asked Santa for a new camera. I think that we may get coal and switches instead.

I did put a giant red bow on Jessie while get my folks' house decorated. She gave me dirty looks all night.

For the record, your messes wouldn't bother me much. My kitchen floor is probably the worst of anything.

We have about 6-8 inches of snow right now, since 3:15pm. It's still going strong. Can't wait for the am. Drove home behind someone going 15mph. That's crazy!!!

Checking in from the winter wonderland here too. We're now getting it Lewski! Plus its mixing with the ocean water now - FUN, FUN, FUN!

I had to drive in for an 8 am meeting - It took me an hour and a half - I was shaking the whole time because I was going to be late and it was with my CEO. I getin 10 minutes late grab my folders and notice that my computer is blinking at me that the meeting has been moved to 9 am! I wanted to scream! We had just gone through hell at home too as we are day careless today so my extremely snow phobic MIL had to come down to our house to stay with the kids.

I hate being a working mother sometimes.
