Moving to Fletcher NC.. need info please

Hi Friends,
I've seen these threads before, and the info shared is SO helpful...

I have a friend who will be packing up her NH home and moving to Fletcher NC. Her husband got a new job. He will be going by himself until after the school year is finished in the summer.
So for now, he is looking for an apartment for himself to get into by March. My friend and her daughter age 8,will follow when the school year is finished.

Thanks Annie. Lots going on at the moment but the biggest Disboard questions are along the lines of "fly or drive from Asheville"? And if you fly, where are the best deals or the easiest airports to use?

Any other Asheville/Fletcher/Hendersonville links and resources are appreciated as well.

I'm honestly not sure what kind of information you're looking for. Finding an apartment in Asheville shouldn't be any problem at all. And as for flying/driving, I'm not sure if that means for the move? There's an airport in Asheville. It's a very small regional airport and is almost always much more costly than the alternatives. Probably the cheapest airport option is going to be Charlotte. It's about 3 hours away. Greenville/Spartanburg SC is the closest, and had better deals than Asheville. Knoxville TN is about 2 hours from Asheville. Rates are usually about the same as Greenville. If you have specific questions, I'd be happy to answer them. I'm originally from Burnsville, which is about 40 min. from Asheville. I live in Knoxville now, but am in Asheville very often, my whole family is still in NC.
