Hi everyone,

I'm hoping you can help, as my head has started spinning trying to figure this out...

We are currently booked to stay in the All Star Music Resort the night before the wedding (in separate rooms of course) as all our guests are also staying in that resort so we thought it would save a lot of moving around especially for me / my bridesmaid & parents on the morning of the wedding!

However, we are booked into the Contemporary Resort for the night of our Wedding, as we are having our lunch reception at the California Grill so wanted to head straight to the room afterwards

My question is - how do i get checked out of the All Star (its a 10am ceremony and i'll be stressed enough with the 5am start time) and how could i get my cases etc taken to the Contemporary...

I thought i had come up with a brilliant idea  of sending Phil back with the guests to collect the car / cases etc but then he quickly reminded me that after the 4hr bar at the reception it may not be the best idea for him to drive

Thanks for your help...

K

Can another member of the family drive / taxi your things over in the morning before the ceremony?
They may not be able to check you in, but they could leave your things with the front desk.

Are you just at the contemporary for one night, or moving their for the rest of the stay?

These little logistical things are a nightmare aren't they, you just don't realise it til you start thinking about things in more detail!!

We didn't change on our wedding day, but we changed later...after we had ALL the STUFF from the wedding (programs, THE DRESS, gifts, other keepsakes).

I think you could do this. We switched between GF and SSR, and both had bell services. So, I'm assuming you can do this with a Value, but please check...

You arrange with Bell services to have your stuff picked up and transferred. They normally (at least at GF and CR that I know of) transfer between 1:00 and 3:00, so they will just store your stuff until they make the transfer. Then, when you check into the CR, tell bell services you had transferred luggage transferred, and they can bring it up to your room.

Yes, you should tip on both sides, but it was SOOO worth it to not have to hassle.

Again, please check with the All-Star Music!

Hi ladies,

Thanks for your ideas, i didn't realise that they could possibly pick-up the luggage etc for me and transport it across - but then the thought of packing up everything aswell as getting ready... :scared: I'm never sure how i end up getting myself into these situations!

Completely agree that its all the little things that are hardest to try and figure out though :confused3

Any WDW resort will transfer your luggage to any other WDW resort. We have done it many times on split stays. You can have bell services come pick it up from your room at any time but like a previous poster said, you won't get your bags till later in the day. Remember you might not have your room at the CR until 4pm or later. Then you have to call bell services to bring your bags to your room.

Personally I wouldn't want to switch resorts on the wedding day. Too much to worry about, too much can go wrong. I just get nervous like that! We are having our VR in Nov. and everything will be going on at the GF and that is where we will stay for 3 nights. I just think it will be one less thing to worry about on that day.

The thought of changing rooms made my head spin as well, but it actually worked out the day of the wedding.

I had bell services pick up all my bags the morning of the wedding (I was at the AKL for a few days) and transferred them to SSR. The night before the wedding, my BM's and I packed EVERYTHING that we didn't need for the morning of the wedding. The only things that we left unpacked were our necessary toiletries and anything that we would be wearing for the wedding. We packed the toiletries and such in a large tote bag that my MOH carried with her to the Pavilion (to stash away in the Bridal Vestibule). It all worked out perfectly!!!
