moving resorts questions

I piddled around and couldn't get my short trip in April all at one resort. Currently I have two nights at Kidani and one at Polynesian Villas but I have waitlisted the entire trip at Poly. If the waitlist doesn't come through and I have to move for the last night, does Disney still transport your luggage to your second resort? Is that the best way to go? I thought about taking my luggage with me to MK on a bus, then taking the monorail or boat to the Poly, but I know I'd have to leave my luggage with bell services anyway. Are there any drawbacks of letting Disney move the luggage (assuming they still do that)? I've never changed resorts before!

Having had Disney move my luggage and doing it myself I find it quicker and easier to call a cab. It doesn't cost much to move around on property and I know ALL my bags, children and essentials have arrived with me!

If we don't have a car we let Disney do it. Even with a car we always have them move our owners locker.

I've always seen there is a restriction from taking luggage on the Disney transportation. As I'm sure I'd have seen someone do it if allowed I tend to believe that is correct. It's likely why they offer the transfer service, to keep people from doing just that.

On move day:
Call Bell Services and have them come pick-up your luggage and refrigerated items. Be sure to inform them that you have items to keep cold.
Tell them where you are transferring too.
Check-in to your new resort if you have not done online check-in.
Go do whatever you want that day.
After getting your room text and you are back in it (items are not at your new resort until 2 - 4 PM), call Bell Services to have the items delivered to your room.
NOTE: You must be in the room for the pick-up and delivery. Tips expected.
If you want to go straight to the parks and not go to the resort first to check-in, yes you can do that.

I've always seem that posted here however on my most recent SSR trip the bus driver did not stop people from boarding with larger size suitcases. They actually were headed to the springs stop to check out but for whatever reason instead of calling bell services for a ride they took the bus during the busy morning rush to get to the parks-so when we got to the springs stop several people had to get off the bus in order for them to exit with their luggage.

I'm hoping Disney moves luggage. It's always been pretty easy for me, especially with the direct to room text. The last couple times, I just dropped my luggage at Bell Services in the morning I leave the first resort, with instructions of the second resort. Head to the park. Get direct to room text, so at the end of the day, I just got on transportation to the second resort, head to my room, and call for my luggage. A CM once told me that luggage is not allowed on Disney buses. My only exception was going from BWV to BCV. Then I just rolled my luggage across the Boardwalk myself, and endured the strange looks.

It depends on what I'm doing that day. If I don't have any big plans, I let Disney take my bags. I then head to a park. When I get my room ready text (if I get one!!!) I leave the park and head to the next resort. If, and this seems to be the rule lately, I haven't gotten a room ready text by 3:00, I head to the resort anyway. Almost every single time I've done that I've been told my room is ready!!! Then I call to have my bags brought to the room, or if the room is close enough, I'll get them from Bell Services and take them to the room myself.
If I'm going to need something in those bags during the day, I'll take a cab to the next resort. Then, I leave them with Bell Services. At least I can get into the bags if I need to, if my room isn't ready yet. But, if I allow Disney to move them, they may not get to my resort until late afternoon!! I've never had them delivered until at least 5:00!!! And I hand them off by 7:30 am!!!!
